Post by: Jarhead0331 on May 05, 2017, 09:57:07 AM
This won't be for everybody, but so far I like it. Its keeping me from even trying Prey.

Here are some details and quick impressions...

From the title I thought this was going to be a game about the best way to get rid of an internal blockage...

We appear to have devolved into a political discussion group. Just shoot me.

I think your sig pic says it all.

Hi Jarhead0331!

Its Kai, creative director on Strain Tactics. Saw your post on the discussion boards inviting us over so I took up your offer :)

Anyways, main reason I'm here was to let you know the UIUX is in for a major update over the next couple of days given the overwhelming notes citing how it is pretty much the main thing holding the experience back for more traditionalist control peeps:

-Rightclick to move / pick items alongside the existing drag mechanics
-Rescaled UI for larger screens
-Enhanced Cryovats functionality (hot-swap your ground team using a locker-style pod system at any Cryovat), no more forced 'dishonourable discharge'  :hide:

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad you stopped in.

Fantastic news about the UI update! Although it is totally playable as is, having a more traditional control option will help a lot and definitely improve the experience. I'm also glad to hear that squad members will be swappable. Thanks for listening to the feedback of those of us who are enjoying the game! I'll try to do another video once the new updat hits.

^Nice...glad you guys are interested. I'd like to see this developer succeed with this game. I always appreciate when someone tries something "outside" the box.

I'm really looking forward to the UI update.

I liked what I saw a lot, once I could get home where I could check it on Steam. Wishlisted it. Just hadn't gotten around to noting here yet.  O:-)

I remember an anime called STRAIN (STRategic Armoured INfantry), it was ok.

Got a code through the developer's PR company so got someone on this already. Looks interesting though.
