You have to be rich and famous to pull off any of those looks. And even then, its questionable!
No clothing could ever make you look as badass as Willem Dafoe.
I like all of them. But the collars look a bit constricting.

IIRC the Victorian era was all about constriction.
But I digress.
I've always liked the long coat look and those two guys with the long overcoats are the ones I'd prefer.
JH is probably right - I suspect I'd need to be rich to pull that look off, but that might not stop me from trying. Being a geek has never really scared me.
I'd get to work on the muttonchops now then.
I can grow a mean set of 'chops. Perhaps I'll groom them to cover the rest of my bald dome.
Is that actually Willem Dafoe on the right? Looks like him.
Sweet! I've always wanted to have an excuse to dress like a 19th century English dandy.

Truer words were never spoken.
The jacket on Willem Dafoe is truly badass. Double breasted is always the way to go. Always.

+1
Dafoe is one scary looking mo-fo

I feel sorry for the guy in the pics next to him, talk about being made to look like a sissy.
Wow so it really is him...he's a mean looking mofo.

Or just butt ugly. Probably why he scowls. "I'm not ugly, I'm mean!"
Looking to the left is that not Gary Oldman? Dafoe may scare front on but Oldman always struck me as the one you would always watch your back on.
Could this thread be that star-studded??

But he's Commissioner Gordon, Gotham City's only honest cop!

These are the four in the pics -Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell, and Willem Dafoe
So it's Gary Oldman, Willem Dafoe and a couple of nobodies.
Prada...ah...Prada!
^I was wondering where you were Azz. You're usually all over the men's fashion threads ;)
I have been notified by a member (not mine) that I cannot be openly gay.
Which to me seems a bit discriminatory but, what the hey!!!!
So even commenting about my passion for Prada could lead to a diminished role here...
Feel me, Docker lovers.....!!!!!!
Pirlo in Prada....good Lord!!!!!

I'd say so. And it looks like Gary Oldman on the left side of that image.
Yeah, I thought it was Gary Oldman - knew the face but could not put a name to it.
I am completely shocked that after starting this thread in the morning and letting it runs its course that it is still basically on topic.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves. >:(
those outfits are good to go.
all they need is a hip holster and a star freighter thats about to fall apart.

That would be for accessorizing items from the Tan, Khaki, and Browncoat Collections...
Don't forget a hat...

That's not a
hat, it's a
toque!
It's also what you wear when you're hanging out of the lower access hatch of a Firefly-class light freighter while pointing a shotgun at superstitious townfolk...
Something like this?
(https://www.grogheads.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi36.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe15%2Fcopycatloki%2FJayneCobbCunninHat.jpg&hash=95db7441b7c300a304193b4412cfb821bf3919d6)
I have multiple toques that look like that. They rock.
You have a Jayne Cobb toque? You truly are my hero.

I do. A few, actually. My favorite has a few more ropes hanging from the top and ear flaps. I call it my Genghis Khan hat. My kids love it.
My wardrobe is woefully under-toqued. Time to change that I guess.
^Wait to see what the winter brings. I didn't bring my toque out once last winter because of the mild weather. For 3-4 years before that, it was toques all the time because the winters were so severe. Be mindful before toqueing it up!
I was thinking of wearing it year round. Would be fine in the air conditioned office. Plus I can be Jayne Cobb at Halloween (well a middle age, out-of-shape version of Jayne).
How out of shape are we talking here? Woefully? Morbidly? Tragically?
Somewhat. Could be worse for my age and somewhat sedentary lifestyle.
I am fairly ripped.
Want to see?

All set, Azz. I saw the pics at WG ;)
I have newer ones.
You sure?
I never like to admit that Breezy is right about anything. And I have already seen pics of Your Rippedness Azz and my burned retinas are still recovering.
Don't feel bad mirth I am considering getting a personal trainer myself. Hopefully a hawt female one who will kick my ass and then hose me down.
@Gussy-poo
know-it-all, liberal pussies are the toughest to ever admit to that they were right ...

Gus, only do male trainers.
Windy, I am mad at you.
^Hmm, why male only?
Breezy am I Donkey Kong or Mario?
^Less distracting and you are there for bizness not pleasure...
Si?!!
Fine. And I thought you were the fun one.
The best trainer in my remote area happens to be a female. A former Ukrainian tank driver named Olga, but female. She promised to 'break me.'
I am a fine stallion!
Although, I do feel somewhat gelded of late.
<segue>
Work with what you got, Gus...and with whom you got...
Get luck!!!!

Since I have very little hair I have no need for a bathcap. Now I know you're fibbing. FIBBER!

A great team will not need a bad ref to win. A great team makes it's own luck
"Great cans add 2 points to any hag!!!"
Coca-Cola marketing slogan during its Halloween campaign for Fall 2012.
There is a bonus feature on Platoon of the making of the movie. They went through a simulated infantry training in the Phillipines. Oliver Stone wrote the script based on his experience in vietnam. He pushed the actors into a situation where they become like the characters. Anyway, Dafoe is very relaxed and likeable in this movie. He is totally at ease in front of the camera. There is no sign of the 'angry man', he actually smiles a lot.
