Title: Star Fleet Armada Rogue Adventures
Post by: DennisS on June 05, 2017, 08:25:54 PM
New on steam, scheduled to be released tomorrow.

Looks like a Starflight/Star Control hybrid. TONS of features, lots of complexity.

Any thoughts or other information on this one? Graphics look dated, but it seemingly hits a lot of complexity sweet spots for me.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah..I picked it up. It's a rogue-like, but pretty accessible. There are several little mini-games, to help accrue materials. Reminiscent of Starflight, in a good way.

Them's mighty powerful words. Are there a lot of worlds to explore like in Starflight?

About 100 star systems, each with 5-10 areas of interests. There may be 3-10 planets, which you would land on and explore, very similar to Starflight.

This game is much, much deeper than Starflight, with a full research and full ship design tree. As you gain in logistics research, you will have the ability to increase your fleet up to ten ships. Each ship has one long, and one short range weapon. There appear to be dozens, if not hundreds of modules, across four tiers, that you can put on your ship.
