This weekend is p&p D&D. The group is down three people due to some internal strife, but the mission will go on. We need to discover the secret of the dragon armor before the Baron's men find us.
As for PC games, I have a mp Civ IV BtS game with my usual partner. Except this time, we are on a team together. It's not going as well as I expected.
Not a whole lotta time this weekend but probably splitting between Fallout 4, Stellaris, and Heroes of the Storm if my normal group there is around. Figure I also need to test the AC as we will be boiling come next week.
SD 44 and Cold Waters will dominate my gaming.
DC1:Warsaw to Paris turn 6 if JP can scrap together some Germans. >:D
Repair bathroom fan duct and exit cover that nesting birds destroyed and have finally left. >:(
Prep work for Origins... re-learn a couple of games I'm GMing.
Maybe get a chance to make up the new Print n Play game that was just released - Advanced Platoon Leader. Looks to be good solo fun.
Son's graduation is this weekend, so that will probably cut down gaming time. If possible I may get on to World of Warships tonight for a few rounds. Not sure what else will be on store for the gaming agenda.
Stellaris with the Utopia dlc.
MD...I usually like your music choices, but this one was meh.
I plan to play the following games:
- Pandora
- Master of Orion (Darlok)
- Civilization V (hope i can finally finish the campaign).
- Field of Glory (mp with Boggit and solo)
- Knights of Honor, starting a new game....been a while now but the picture posted by Black Sea motivates me.
That and maybe a little of some other games, Endless Space, Stardrive 2 and so on.
Play testing the air rules for General Quarters III tonight in prep for a Coral Sea game.
Otherwise, it's mostly going to be Origins prep (got some counters left to clip)
Probably more Rimworld. I also might try Predestination since version 0.9.8 just dropped and it's nearing completion. I also have Deep Space D6 to try.
I had dark visions of Cher before actually clicking through here...thank the Maker I was wrong 😎
The tide has turned badly for the Goths in my Attila TW campaign and I am fending off an invasion from the top faction in my game...the Sassanids. They may totally destroy me if the AI gets it's act together. The Garmantians in North Africa suddenly hate me as well and they are the 2nd strongest faction. My Goths are the 3rd.
If I get wiped out (or bored) I may finally fire up Apotheon. Dying Light is next on the list.
:wow: :timeout: :hide:
Hawt. For a vegan.
Look at her straddling the 16 incher!
Southern Fried Game Expo for Pinball and Tabletop games this weekend.

Ditto. I have to hear that OVER AND OVER at work. :tickedoff:
Listen to Cher, then.
I was going to play Naval Action, but it has become very grindy since the big update and wipe. I lost my only warship being stupid this morning before work and now I'm looking at two days of crafting/trading just to get back to where I was. Blech.
Hearing all the good stuff about Knights of Honor makes me want to get that fired up or maybe some Stellaris.
I should try Civ 6 again sometime too.
Sooooo many games.
My order of 'War of the Ring' board game came in this week along with some Chessex Dice (two sets, red and blue), a dice cup, and a ginormous hexagonacle dice tray. So I'll probably spend time with it.
I bet that's not the first time Cher straddled a 16in-er. But not lately of course. I've made it to the final battle of CMFI's Conrath's Counterattack campaign, so if I get quiet time to stragte-gize, that's where I'll be. Waiting on the AI to clobber me with something I can't see even though the terrain is flat and open as far as the German eye can see. Probably naval gunfire because the sea is visible in the distance. Otherwise I will tangle with Alea Jacta Est's Samnite campaign.
Gal Civ III with the crusade dlc, Sudden Strike 4, cold waters, and a whole lot of Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries. Even after all this time and even with the somewhat dated graphics, this remains such a fantastic game...they just don't make them like this anymore.

And this is the problem with modern gaming. Fun doesn't matter anymore.

tiresome details that get in the way of the pew-pew
Me, I'm off today but working tomorrow and Sunday. (Yay retail :uglystupid2:)
Gaming wise:
Pike and Shot Campaigns.- still skirmishes right now. I have been just doing open battle, might try attack or defend or reinforcements.
Knights of Pen and Paper II (on my tablet)
Debating on which to get with my 30% D-Day special - Heroes of Normandie (and DLC) OR some extra DLC for Battle Academy.
Not to mention GOG.com has their summer sale (?)
I did finally pick up Eagle Day to Bombing the Reich (and CC: Longest Day) from Matrix while on sale, but I doubt I'll be doing much with either of them. My main focus is getting Turn 6 of DC:Blitz back to Barth, if I have any Germans left I can scrap together...
It is conceivably possible I'll play some SD44 again eventually. Also, though less likely due to time constraints in working on the Turn 6 ep, running the next Churchill turn.
Since I started creating AAR videos for two sets of people, I'm also doodling around trying to find something entertaining for the nieces to watch me doing, ideally with both of them as "characters". At the moment I'm considering XCOM: Long War, with the girls being two of the soldiers. I'd only do missions with one or both of them on board, and only do some highlights of other missions where necessary for plot purposes. On the other hand, their parents (especially the Mom) might not appreciate seeing the girls pewpewing aliens in the head (and vice versa)!

Maybe some ARMAIII Jets, maybe some Naval Action
I've been playing Diablo III and Sheltered this week. Forecasts are for it to continue deep into the weekend.

Sorry, fellas. I actually got caught out this morning when I found noone had made the FRIDAY thread. My granddaughter and me were listening to this last night and it was the only thing that came to mind quickly. So, there we are.

I can throw something up here that I guarantee will make you forget about Cher. The question is do you want to take the risk, we'll do ya, punk?

Song gets even better with the Leo Moracchioli treatment:
Will be alternating between World Of Warships and Cold Waters.
Was hoping for a bug fix beta or two on the latter, for the weekend. But no go. It'll get some heavy play/petting for a long time, so no worries. :smitten:
Hrmm. Navy themed run & gun. Navy themed cat & mouse..... I guess this means my weekend is full of seamen.
I went to the Southern Fried Game Expo this weekend.
I played a lot of pinball. A lot of pinball. A whole lot of pinball. I rolled a couple of machines (that means you go past the max score and start over) and got my highest score ever on a couple of machines.
Of the brand new pinball machines:
Aerosmith was pretty good.
Batman (1960s) was Awesome!
Houdini was very good.
ACDC was very bad. There is a severe playfield flaw that causes the ball to drain straight down the playfield about 50% of the time after you launch the ball or put it back up the field to increase the x-times bonus. This became very clear throughout the weekend until people were not playing it very much at all.
I did not play the Wizard of Oz game. There was a constant line and there was only one of those machines at the venue.
I liked Batman as much as I like Mars Attacks which is one of my favorite releases in the last 8 years or so.
Some arcade games (mainly racing and shooting).
I played Pathfinder Card Game for the first time. Maybe I can play the set my wife gave me a year and a half ago.
I played Fluxx and was not that impressed. Probably a good kids game but, not that impressed.
I also played some Marvel Munchkin.

A game expo devoted to the silver ball? Man i really need to start looking for these things. Glad you enjoyed!
It's becoming increasingly more difficult to predict my weekend gaming activities. I troll YouTube and steam a lot looking for game releases, early access titles, and mods I may have missed. I more often than not find something.
This weekend I found a few impressive mods for the original Crysis. This game has always been considered the best of the series, and with the mods running it's hard to believe to it's a 10 year game. Technically, the game was well ahead of its time and at release, it was capable of doing things that current generation hardware just couldn't support.
Running with a graphics mod at 4K the game looks better than many AAA titles being released today and with a tactical expansion mod, it plays better than most current gen twitch shooters.
So, of course, most of my weekend was spent playing a game I bought 10 years ago. Although I did play some Cold Waters, the balance of my game time was spent with a great mod for Men of War AS2. It models The American Revolution, Civil War and fighting out west. I played mostly the Battle of Bunker Hill. Very impressive mod, especially since it was made by a bunch of Russians. LoL. I plan on doin a Let's Play of this mod eventually, just to help get the word out. There are so many awesome mods for this game. The game system and editor are just so flexible. You can model practically anything...
Well - Cold Waters and Star Wars:Rebellion boardgame pulled me away from Ghost Recon:Wildlands - at least temporarily
My Gothic Empire was virtually destroyed by the Sassanids and the Garamantians (sp?)...we were pushed back all the way across the Med from where we came from and wracked by civil war too. We have one wrecked province left 😞
My Goths aren't doing so well either. I headed for Constantinople but the Dacians were already there and took the place ahead of me. I created them as a Vassal and now they own all of the Balkans practically. :o I NEVER do that good in my other campaigns. So we head for Italy but there's a traffic jam of other factions ahead of my guys backed-up to Salona. So I've settled for whacking some little factions just for something to do beside camp and build things. Kind of boring.
Yeah Attila can get dull sometimes when the objective is to just survive, but that didn't happen in my current Goth campaign. I had some great build-up, then reached my gothic event horizon at the gates of Antioch...where the Sassanids took notice. I was the number 2 faction in the world, behind them. Then they laid the smackdown, hard, declared war with about 20 allies and satrapies, and reduced me to about #55. I bounced back last night and consolidated my one remaining city (Corinth), and now have one full stack army. I'm also making a bit of money. But I did get body-slammed, hard, Sassanid style.
And they seem so friendly when you first meet them. They are all, "Hello, we are Sassanids and VERY happy you've come to the neighborhood. By the way, do you prefer cremation, burial, or just being left to be eaten by buzzards"? Fooled me.
They didn't even slow down their steamroller for me! All the other factions stood around and laughed...until they turned the steamroller around and went bug nutty throughout the Med!
