Title: King For A FRIDAY
Post by: Jarhead0331 on July 07, 2017, 04:40:23 AM

I'm on a crafting kick. Probably more Empyrion: Galactic Survival and Space Engineers. Might also get my blow up on with ARMA 3.

Enjoy.

PBEM DC1: Warsaw to Paris with Jason.... turn 7 and the Poles are still holding out... I think....

More SD44
More Civ VI on Giant Earth Map with true start locations.... just about finished winning as Australia with a science victory.

On the table, I need to start learning Putin Strike's and finish assembling my copy of Advanced Platoon Leader.

Some more work on my car.

- pbems of Field of Glory and Armada 2526.
- On my phone and tablet: Civilization 2 Revolution, Space Captain (anyone knows what Malfador is up to? His page is Under construction) and 1849

Never would have guessed JH is a Thompson Twins fan. My world turned upside down. Leaving for Scotland so no gaming however after about 25 hours I am getting a little bored with Fallout 4 and will probably switch of to some Medieval 2 Crusades campaigning when I get back.

Going to play some Banner Saga 2.   Go it on the steam sale.

Maybe Stellaris which I got as a gift from the steam sale.

I also need to restart Wayward Terran Frontier: Zero Falls as it appears I messed up in the beginning.

I'm going back to Skyrim to check on my player home to see if it needs a new coat of paint or anything after all that bad weather. Honestly, it NEVER seems to stop snowing and raining there.  ??? And wait until you see what Wholly Mammoths can leave on your front yard.  :wow:  Have a great one Grogs.

I may be out of pocket all of tonight and a good portion of tomorrow, with Bro recovering Ishy and the Sabrenieces after their foray into the mountains near Boulder.

1.) Need to finish and upload my Turn 7 notes in DC1:Blitz vs Barth. (The Poles still look like they're going to win, but various matters are changing.)

2.) Just whatever is available otherwise I guess?  ??? Some of my multiplayer crew are off at a Magic the Gathering tourney this weekend.

Hey Jarhead, you ever make it to another planet or system in Empyrion yet? I had a capitol ship up and running and was storing up for a deep space cruise when there was a big update so had to restart. I start on the easy planet while learning, been to the moon but that's it.

I have a couple of pbem turns to get out, WITE... Kharkov 42 ( small starter scenario) and a CM Red Thunder  roll your own scenario. Both first time pbem games for me. Not sure about the random force mix Red Thunder dropped on me, a bunch of SU's , a bunch of flame throwing troops, FO, and a AA gun...oooo and 1 T-72, we'll see.

Picked up Subnautica last days of the sale, so might give that an install and check out.

Trying to get back into ARMA 3. I'm playing the campaign. Anyone know if there is a way to skip missions? I'm getting tired of piloting a UAV trying to find spotters. Just want to go back to killing people for the love of God

Like you, I have only been from Akua (the easy planet) to the moon and back. I have built a small fighter class craft for atmospheric and space flight that has only the most basic of defensive weaponry and no armor. I have built a small orbital station and a modest base on Akua's moon.  My next goal is to build a much larger ship with a warp drive that is capable of carrying my little single-seat fighter. I really don't see any reason to build an HV.

By the way...Subnautica is fantastic. Let me know what you think!

Damn, never thought about an orbital station. You attach that to a ship then drive it to orbit and release? then add to it? i'm having a vision of a massive space station now with docking for my CS. I had a CS built[workshop design plan] but a big update released so scraped that, why i've only been working on base building and moon trips. That's the thing about EA built/craft games, you got to be prepared to lose the work you put in when a new build is released. Empyrion has grown so much in the short time i've had it, its already got enough content and play to not make me regret jumping in on the EA.Have you had the aliens send over a drop ship with troops to assault your base yet? that was cool when it happened.
I'm still waiting for my other EA crafting/survival games Subsistance and PAMELA to get to the point of enough content but devs for both games are active and updating regularly.
I don't think i'll be able to resist the temptation of installing and playing Subnautica....it's new and shiny...I'll post up some thoughts when i get some time in, probably in the screenshot thread.

I had the aliens send over a troop ship to save their base from my assault, in my much earlier game! -- the, uh, troopship didn't have any troops. But it kept on bringing them!  :crazy2:

I was glad to hear that the developer has been steadily improving the work, though.

Nope. Built the whole thing from scratch in space. Usually takes a good 3 to 5 trips to get it to the point where it is sustainable on its on. I typically start with a one room shell, add power and oxygen generators, fuel and air tanks, etc. Then I build a large constructor and storage areas to stockpile supplies and raw resources so I can construct components in space. Then, I start with the quality of life add-ons. Lots of fun, but my engineering abilities are extremely rudimentary. Its amazing what some people have created in this game. Really...amazing.

I haven't been attacked yet. Somehow, I've managed to stay under the radar. The only nuisance I have is drones when out exploring.

Picked up Craft the World on a whim in the Steam sale and rather enjoying it as a relaxed, lateral, 2D city builder type game so probably a bit more of that. Also maybe some Skyrim from the beginning again, usually c10 hours in I get distracted by something else but I'll try for a bit more long term focus this time, or possibly some CiV or Smugglers V or Gal Civ III Crusade. My indecision is rife  :)

Been on a staycation all week. Trying to not think about how much I do not want to go back to work on Monday.

Been playing nothing but World of Warcraft and Diablo 3 all week that will probably continue this weekend. If my back is up to it and I can actually get myself up early enough I might head up to the mountains tomorrow for some shooting.

Sounds like Rhode Island.   ::)

Not entirely sure yet, but likely Scourge of War: Gettysburg and perhaps continue my Scotland campaign in CK2.  At least I think I was playing Scotland...might have been Wales.  They all kind of look the same to me.   :o

Accomplished: powering through to the start of turn 8 in Churchill tonight, maybe to putt in tomorrow! My plan now is to do one final AAR video on it, just showing the advance of the maps and the scoring with some broad explanations about how the players strategized.

Editing the new arma video. So glitchy, so memey, so glorious.

Also I hate it when twats comment on my channel complaining that I'm not taking the game seriously enough.

Final achievement for the weekend (probably): finished Turn 9. Final turn is going to be super insane, lol! -- that one may have to be its own ep.
