Anyone interested in being a fireman? -Person?

I've been wanting to build a narrative of this game for some time. I know I have other things going on, and going on they are (Outpost Gamma, etc., all being worked on, trust me). But if there's no interest in this game, I won't bother. I thought it would be fun to build the narrative around forum members here, play through it, and you guys could be the spectators.
I've purchased just about all of the expansions to this game, and it's a lot of fun. So much potential for building something entertaining, I think.
You'd just lend your forum name to your firefighter, and before each mission would get to pick the kind of firefighter you'd want to be (there's different specialties). I'll get more into that later, if there's interest.
AND MY CHAINSAW! :D
...that joke might even fit topically here. >:D
I suppose that's a big ol' 'negatory,' then...
Too bad; I thought it was a good idea. O0
I wasn't sure that was a volunteer line from you or not, JP. ;D
That's fine, because I'll probably go do it anyway, and use any forum members I want! SO THERE. :P
Use me and abuse me, buddy O0
Let's call the squad the "Grogheads Hotheads"
Me too!
Aren't you a little short for a firefighter?
When I am the only one who can access that burning attic to drag your ass out will you ask me the same question?
After my stint with the Guard I am planning on joining my local firehouse, btw.

That's hot.
Nice, Gus! Be sure to get EMT-qualified too...I'll bet there's extra pay involved, possibly.
Awright, you guys are gonna get it. I'll probably try to start something up this weekend, but I'm prioritizing new Outpost Gamma chapters (shut up, mirth). The new OG chapters will be done by the end of the weekend, so if I have time once that's done I'll mess around with this. I even bought an el cheapo fire fighter playset to help with the production quality. ;D
If you need one more at the firehouse I'm your vollie.

Alright, awesome. I gotta figure the ideal set-up for how many firefighters (I'm thinking 4, max), but that doesn't mean we can't rotate peeps.
I've got, as I said, all of the expansions for this game, so there will be a plethora of things to save. Or burn to the ground.
I also need to figure if it's better to do game reporting via images or just do pics...I'm leaning towards just videos.
Let me make sure I have this straight -
- JP
- mirth
- Gus
- Stags
Plus me, most likely, for five.
Here's what I have:
- Flash Point Fire Rescue (the base game)
- 2nd Story (expansion, adds [as the name implies] access to the second floor of buildings instead of just one floor)
- Urban Structures (expansion, adds office buildings)
- Honor & Duty (expansion, adds an aircraft and subway station)
Between the base game and expansions, there are 11 total Firefighters to choose from. I'm not sure about keeping the exact same ones throughout the whole Campaign, as that kind of defeats the purpose. Some of these characters are pretty awesome at specific things. Maybe our guys will get trained in different areas? I'll figure a way to do the narrative to explain it best.
Note: not my pic...

One thing I'll explain to help mull it over - Action Points, or APs. Each Firefighter gets a certain number each turn. There's several Actions that Firefighters can perform each turn, with some costing more AP than others. With that in mind, the firefighters are:
- Fire Captain (has 4 AP, but can give up to 2 AP per turn to any Firefighter(s) for their movement purposes - he's a great coordinator in that regard)
- The Rescue Dog (might add him just for grins; he can move fast [12 APs per turn] and drag victims, and squeeze through tight spaces, but that's it)
- The Generalist (no special abilities but has 5 APs per turn)
- Veteran (4 AP, can Dodge if they have 1 saved AP, and give special abilities to other Firefighters near him/her)
- Hazmat Technician (4 AP, can remove Hazmat material [and you'll be amazed at the explosive crap peeps keep in their homes in this game!])
- Structural Engineer (4 AP, can repair damage to a structure, which is very helpful, and can clear Hot Spots, which are a giant PITA)
- CAFS Firefighter (3 AP, and also gets 3 additional 'free' AP that can only be used for extinguishing fires)
- Driver/Operator (4 AP, gets better odds with using the 'Deck Gun' [e.g. giant fire hose on the fire truck] than 'normal' Firefighters)
- Paramedic (4 AP, can Treat victims, which means the Victim can move with a Firefighter and do not need to be carried, which saves a lot of AP - but the Paramedic has to pay double the AP cost of extinguishing fires)
- Rescue Specialist (4 AP, also gets 3 free AP to only use for movement purposes; can also Chop through walls for less AP cost, but like the Paramedic, pays twice the AP cost to extinguish fires)
- Imaging Technician (4 AP, can identify POIs anywhere on the board)
So a bit of clarification: the objective of the game is to rescue a certain number of POIs (basically, victims) before the structure is consumed and/or collapses on itself. I think that number is 7 victims, but I'll make sure of that later. At any given time, there are 3 POI counters on the board, face down, so we do not know what is there, exactly. It could be a victim, it could be a pet, or it could be bubkis. That's the basics of the basic game; the expansions add varying rules. I'll just start with the basic game and go from there, depending on the expansions/narrative.
I think it'll take at least one playthrough for you guys to get the idea of what's going on, so I'll probably choose roles for us depending on the situation, and later, let you guys interject if you want to see a certain specialist in action.
If you can think of any cool patch designs, whether from your local heroes or somewhere else, don't hesitate to post it here to bring it to my attention.
I'm the obvious candidate for Hazmat Technician

I was hoping for Hotentots, but that'll do 👍
Damn, I didn't even think of that.
I'm the idea guy ;)
HAHAHA Hotentots...awesome.
Can I be the driver?
You can be whatever you dream, little dude.
Can I have an ice cream cone?
Talk to GoatDaddy
I was going to say "Rescue Specialist" in order to keep the joke theme running (chainsaw); but Imaging Technician seems pretty dang important, to keep us from wasting time and effort (and possibly our lives) going after non-people first.
There's a fire to be put out. We're not making you the dispatcher, JP. :P

What- no 'Fire Ranger' Class?!
I'm not picky- I'll settle for any of them.

Now I am
definitely insisting on it. >:D
I've filmed a short intro and a Turn 1 video. Just need time to put them into the computer and get them edited/uploaded, and then I will post 'em in this thread. Will do more turns probably later tonight.
Update: I kept screwing up the rules pretty regularly so I decided to scrap the video and re-start it. I found that shooting a video by holding the camera in one hand and trying to play with the other, and trying to explain what's going on, means I missed several important rules here and there. I'd always remember and go back, but it kind of screwed up the flow of the episode. So, I'm going to re-start it.
I chose to play the Experienced version of the rules, and within that, the Veteran level. I might ramp it up to the Heroic level since I have five firefighters playing it, but I'll probably just stick with Veteran for the first incident or two and ramp it up after that. What I'm aiming at doing is, at least one playthrough for each map, which is about six or so if I remember right, with multiple videos per playthrough (possibly one video per one or two turns, so I can turn them around quickly).
