I don't often get it right, but, when I do, it's epic! The top four seeds are some of the most iconic and recognized songs ever recorded. Each one of these is played hundreds of times a day on radio, a sure sign that they have staying power. Stayin' Alive stands in for the entire disco catalog and defines the genre for many. Sultans of Swing presents such a great little story, told well, and catchy as hell! Roxanne is a great story song as well and who can forget Eddie Murphy wailing it in
48 Hours as Nick Nolte comes to spring him so they can track down Ganz. And Who Are You, Roger and the boys scream this out from the beginning of every episode of a hugely successful television show every week. So you have your work cut out for you my fellow forumites. Have at!

Yep , gotta agree with ya MD . You've given us 4 iconic tunes to choose from here ! Epic score for you my friend :bd: The choice between disco and rock HURTS ...argh ! The pain is real :'( I had to go with The Who in the end , because I'm first and foremost a rock chick at heart :) it's tough to ditch The Bee Gees though , I'm a huge fan of there's !

I went to high school with a girl named Roxanne... very cute and strong will... guy magnet... of course we all sang Roxanne to her constantly... to her utter dismay... good times... :dreamer:
Later, in first year University, six of us got thrown out of a college bar for singing Roxanne at the top of our lungs at 2 am. On my way home I took a nap in a snow bank wearing a leather jacket. Managed to make up about an hour later and continued my way home... :hide:
Sultans of Swing became our theme song the summer of 2nd year University. Some of my friends were working for a summer theatre company and the rest of us hung around as groupies. Epic show strike parties... <:-)

That's a really cool story Barthheart 8) I love reading all the story's you guys post about how your lives and memories are linked to all the songs O0 And that's some pretty good times you had there mate ....nice one :coolsmiley: it reminds me of the time me and my mates went to watch a local band playing ,not far from our town . I'd be about 16 , and we all got a bit to rowdy dancing and singing along to Bryan Adams hit song 'summer of '69 ' , and I started a food fight with my mate , throwing m&ms at him .....it seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to do at the time ;D And we got told to calm it down or leave ....I calmed down ....just ! Haha O:-)

I get the feeling after this vote , it's gonna be a straight shoot out between The Who and Dire straights .......god help us all if that's the choice we end up with :o
