Nice! Might actually play it now.
I think I have the Diamond Edition on my rig somewhere...I don't know if it's worth the re-buy.
Another easy pickup. Hordes of the Underdark was one of my favorite games of all time.

Same.
Great game. Played the hell outta it back in the day but couldn't go back that far now I don't think. Still it is great that the old girl's getting some love.
Oh man, I'm excited for this.
Really glad to see it will work with existing community created content.

That's the biggest reason I'm interested in it. Like
Gus &
mirth, I already own the Diamond Edition (on GOG), but the prospect of access to the additional content alone would be worthwhile.
They really know how to lure us suckers in
Right you are. No better time to have something to sell that has 'never winter' in it's name than when half the country's up to their belly buttons in snow. :coolsmiley:
indeed.
Just a couple of inches but as you know that is up to my belly button.

No need to brag :2funny:
TEEHEE
On a more serious note....
I LOVE this game. One of the best RPG's ever made. Too bad the MMO was "meh" I spent so many hours trying to recreate some of my favorite D&D modules in that Aurora tool set.
So many good memories! :'(
What is your favorite part of it? Even though I own it, I've never played it.

I actually enjoyed the story. I'm not much of a story kind of guy. I hardly ever read the quest dialogue. I want to get to the baddie and kill/loot, but this game I really enjoyed the quests and had a vested interest in the story being told.
Combat was pretty cool too and it's D&D!!
Also, the Aurora tool set is pretty slick. I"m ashamed to admit the hours I spent on that thing. L:-)
Dammit. I wonder if this will cost 19.99 like other enhanced editions.
Yes, the story was very good and quite intriguing at times. Better than NWN 2 which was just average as I recall. The game just looks too old for me today but then I look too old for me today.

That's a lot for an EE of an old game. If I remember correctly, the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale EE's released at $20.00. But if you were patient and waited for the holiday sales they could be had for half that, and now even less.
It's been a while since I played The Great Barrel Bashing Caper.
according to their site, the deluxe edition is $39..they have standard edition for $19. believe deluxe contains all dlc and soundtrack so it depends what you want unless i am misreading.

Very much doubt I will.
Actually installed and played NWN Diamond edition a few months ago, on a whim. Ohhh those character models and skins didn't age well. :-\ Some post-processing effects aren't going to do much polishing on those turds.
The only reason I'd fire it up again is for the gameplay/campaign. Certainly not for visual wowing. I can still get the gameplay with the Diamond edition, so.. :-"
^Yeah but you're all gaming grumpypants and stuff.

You're right. Even if I
did buy, it wouldn't get played. :uglystupid2:
This saddens me 😓

Thanks for the links,
Grim.Reaper. Sounds like the Standard version would probably still be worth getting (at least for me), or the Deluxe version if/when it comes down in price at some point.

Crap. Now I want it.
I think the backwards compatability is a main feature. The amount of mods available...really well made mods at that that rival the original included adventures make this one I'll pick up as I really enjoyed some of them.
I spent many hours playing
Neverwinter Nights (http://www.mobygames.com/game/neverwinter-nights) with friends after it was released in 2002. NWN had quite a following and a very active Bioware forum. I don't know how well
Neverwinter Nights has aged over the years.

I don't know whether I will buy either of the above or not. It has been 15 years since
Neverwinter Nights was first released and the NWN forums no longer exist.
But I did learn from Beamdog's Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beamdog) that "Beamdog is a Canadian video game developer, publisher, and distributor founded by BioWare co-founder Trent Oster and BioWare lead programmer Cameron Tofer...."
^Well, looking at that I would have to pick Digital Deluxe. :D
I dug a little deeper and found that Beamdog has games on both Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=Beamdog) and GOG (https://www.gog.com/games?devpub=beamdog&sort=popularity&page=1) (and probably other vendors as well). So if price is a factor, you might want to wait and pick it up after this new iteration of NWN has been out for a while.
Infinite Dungeons is cool.
Maybe I will go the path of Greybriar and get the deluxe version in 6 months when the price drops.
I was all like standard edition FTW! until you went and mentioned jousting tournaments. :-\
^Damn...you're right.
Well you have to get the digital deluxe to get the dungeon generator as well---that one is probably something I'd use quite often depending on the set up options.
I don't expect the graphics to be much improved aside from portraits and GUI as the rest of the game they just use post processing effects and haven't really touched the textures. I find most of those more annoying than anything. Motion Blur, Bloom....that kind of stuff i usually turn off.
