Not just any agent either -- she was second in charge after Fury (until the 2nd Cap movie. After that... ...... well she went to work for Stark but I've lost track of her since then. I think she had an extended cameo during the house party / battle in Av2.)

I only caught a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother. I know it's supposed to be awesome, and I truly did try last year to get into it on Netflix, but it just didn't hook me.
As for the Avengers...is she the one on the bridge of the Helicarrier? If so, she's a'ight. Not quite frothing at the mouth like the rest of youse over her. :)
