I'm certain that one of the pilots was named John Christopher.
^ha! :2funny:
More on this from the pilot (http://abcnews.go.com/US/navy-pilot-recalls-encounter-ufo-unlike/story?id=51856514). Interesting read.
Um, ok. So could it be something stuck on the camera lense? If not, the camera did an amazing job keeping the object dead center of the screen.

The video was captured by the targeting FLIR. It's designed to track a target like that.

Plus the pilot saw it, not just the camera.

Pilot, FLIR, radar on the ship that vectored the F-18s.

Could Tom Delong actually be onto something?!

Plus the object held Captain Christopher's plane in a tractor beam.

A detail the press keeps leaving out.

A high-contrast target with a uniform background is a very easy case for a closed-loop tracker.

Does this mean the film looks legit? Meaning it is something unknown?
Yes, Centurion40. They are onto you. :P

I was just saying that the camera keeping the object in the center of the screen, but that is not a very noteworthy achievement, and doesn't say anything about the authenticity of what you saw.

What was that episode called (in TOS) when they went back and time and tractor-beamed a jet, causing it to break?
Tomorrow is Yesterday. Great Season 1 episode.

I would REALLY like to know what the UFO was doing when it was down low that caused the disturbance in the water. I hope it was a simple case of refueling and nothing ... sinister.
They were looking for intelligent life on Planet Earth. And the jury's still out.
