From Ridley Scott and coming to AMC in March: The Terror trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPos66MpHe8)
I will definitely check this out.
Looks good. :dreamer:
I enjoyed the book and the preview looks like they captured it well. Good casting too. Something to keep an eye on.
I have the book on my to read shelf, and will definitely be checking the show out. I'm a sucker for Ridley Scott.
That one dude lead the Wildlings north of the Wall in the freezing cold. He might make it through okay!
He played Caesar in HBO's Rome, so his commanding presence is well honed. O0

Is that the book by Dan Simmons? I read his Ilium/Olympos novels and was quite impressed.

Yes, apparently so.
Based on the Franklin Expedition, but with some.. twist(s). You know - the one that disappeared for a long time, had crew sick & lead poisoned from their food tins, and all kinds of mysterious tidbits.
This vid touches on it, and gives a book spoiler in the last few seconds. Although it provides you ample spoiler warning to stop the vid beforehand.
Reminder that the two hour series premiere is this Monday on AMC. Looking forward to it!
Saw the teaser episode last night....
very nice!

It is no Altered Carbon, but its a
good great period piece with my namesake as the guest star.
I thought Windigos lived in the forests, not on ice floes.
I figured it was the Wampa eating them.
Maybe it was the Wumpus? Last I heard, it was seen lurking in school computer lab full of Apple II's
This show suddenly seems less terrifying.
The only terrifying part was the two guys behind the crates.

They live wherever cannabalism could be a problem. Also, either the forum or I have forgotten how to spell that word. :buck2:
If you go by eastern(mainstream spelling its wendigo), when I first heard it said it was pronounced 'win' not 'wen'. It was a long long time ago up near Sachs Harbour on Banks Island.
Krumpus.
Leepus.
Dufous
CANNIBALISM! -- either the forum or I cannot spell that word. Or cannibal for tha... ......oh, it has an 'i' in the middle.
Weenis.
Dorkus Malorkus
Duffous Maximus, my Latin name.
Made it up to episode 4, missed number 3, getting a little better. Interesting at least. If you like snow, this is your show.
I watched the first 3 episodes before ditching my cable tv.
They did a wonderful job on the set, and the actors are damn good too. Was diggin' it, but I'll eventually finish watching on a streaming service.
I almost gave up on the show around episode 3 and 4 because it was a bit slow, but I'm glad I stuck with the show as the last couple of episodes have been very good.
Pretty morbid to watch the show though knowing that the real people didn't make it.
Well I WAS enjoying it. ;D No, it's still pretty good. You're right better than the first two episodes anyway.
That reveiwer has a real way with words!
