He had a heart attack in between stand-up shows over the weekend. He was hospitalized and is doing okay now.

Wow, at 47! :o
Yep. Jim and Sam on SiriusXM talked about this the other day. They reported that had Kevin decided to push through and finish the show, he'd probably be dead right now. His choice to end the show early and get checked out saved his life.
Yeah if he had done the second show, he likely wouldn't have made it.
What's really fucked is he lost a LOT of weight over the last few years or so, and was in much better health, but I guess years of eating like crap took their toll. Something to look forward to here, no doubt.
He said in the Facebook video that he walks everyday and has lost something like 85lbs, but he has a family history of heart problems.

That is huge and also the same thing that dooms me. I'm almost the same age as my mom when she had her heart attack. Both of my parents have had triple bypass surgery. :-[
yikes
He lost 85 pounds?? Wow.
I'm a year older than Mr. Smith and I lost 50 lbs. JUST had my yearly physical and echo. No family history of heart disease but I do have low risk Afib. The way we treat our heart has a lot to do with the quality of our life. I too shoved a lot of crap in my pie-hole for far too long.
Glad Mr. Smith is ok.

You're my age, then, since he's a year younger than I as well. I'm working on losing my excessiveness right now. Been off and on a few years but it needs to stick this time.
