Plan on finishing my game of 1960: The Making of the President and document it accordingly for my AAR (http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=21623.0).

Then get Colonial Twilight to my table for a playthrough.

That oughta cover the weekend pretty much, though I might do a little Fallout: New Vegas.

You guys are gonna have to put your Fridays further apart, I can't keep-up with new stuff to play to sound current.  :-\   Alea Jacta Est: the Pyrrus Campaign. Epirus is a lot tougher in this game than in Rome 2.  ;D   I've been chasing 'Pretty Boy Pyrrus' all over Italy for about 40 turns but now I've got him and the whole Epirus army trapped and under siege in Metapontum and Taras. The problem is the sieges having been going on for about a year now and in the meanwhile the Etruscans are on the march up north, the Boii are threatening my frontiers and there's a big army of mercs crossing the Strait of Messina.  :timeout:  Here's what it looks like.

Rusted Warfare as usual

Planar Conquest - I'm still bouncing off Age of Wonders 3 so let's see if this can scratch the fantasy 4X itch

Sudden Strike 4 - I bought this last week and haven't really tried it yet, so will try and do so this weekend

Maybe some Stellaris if I can get my multiplayer game started

And on the PS4, undoubtedly some more Diablo 3 with my boy

Steallaris - Just installed the 2.0.2 beta so going to start another new game and see how that goes. I am enjoying the new patch to be honest, makes it closer to EUIV in space as far as wars go and that's not a bad thing imo.

IL2 BoX - while patiently(ish) waiting for Kuban and my blessed 109G-6.

Rome2 TW -  Might even finish the Empire Divided campaign I've got going.

Elite Dangerous - New patch of like 10GB so couldn't hurt to give it a go as well.

More to play this weekend then I'm going to have time for. Have a really good solo and MP games of Stellaris at the moment. Restarted my solo game more then a few times when mods I use got updated. Will be starting another MP game tomorrow on my twitch stream.

World of Warcraft, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Prepar3d, Elite v3.0, Diablo 3 Season 13 are all things I'd like to get to but I have to tear myself away from Stellaris long enough to play it. Even then not enough time in the weekend to get to all of them.

New book on the order of battle for the US, UN, and communist forces in the Korean War arrives from Amazon on Sunday, if its not to late when it arrives I'll be doing some research for a few new CMANO scenarios.

@MDog:  I am sitting...right...here.  It is hardly the game's fault that you have consistently chosen to engage in your silly Prussian, knees-bent, running about, withdrawing behavior.  Mostly.

Much with the Jena KS.

Jena JTS
Auerstedt JTS -- Doug and I finished the Jena JTS which we started before I actually went there last year.  He won mightily, choosing not to, you know, let the French have all the good terrain.

FoGII Toonament:  I'm in the top 25% of a 100-person scrum and both Round 2 battles are balanced on a knife's-edge.

Playtesting X3

Dawn of War I MP with my son.  He's in love.

Sanctus Reach MP with my son.  Ditto.

Weekly GLOOMHAVEN.

Thanks! If you can tap your foot in time to a beat you'll do fine. Music is great to get into - I've never had so much fun. Kits are cool, though putting a finish on guitars is real expert work.

I'm making an album. A little home-grown rock n' roll thing so I'm writing music for that. Main influences Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Elvis when he was at Sun Studios. Original 1956-58 Rock & Roll. I won't be plugging it on here so don't worry. However, was lucky to make two purchases recently. A lovely new Gretsch and Fender Telecaster. Pics below.

For gaming: Kingdom Come Deliverance and also looking forward to the HOI 4 DLC release next week.

Keeping a beat is pretty simple, once you get the hang of it.  It's the cool sounding stuff that takes a little work  :)

That helo was placed there as part of a clever ruse! (and not under the expectation that there was no way your sniper could survive two point blank rocket barrages, strafing from heavy MGs from the ship and the helo's gunners, 40mm AA fire and 100mm shells.  god damned sniper...)

My Nephew's Dad bought him a really nice Gretsch when he was 18.. he hated it, cause he was into the Stones, Sabbath, Zep.. didn't fit the 'look' he wanted.
He's was a Les Paul guy during the 80's and now Flying V. My nephew is 5 months older than me, so we were best friends growing up. My current Electric is a cheap ass Ibaneze, so I envy your Tele!. ... Usually strumming the acoustic all the time now anyways.

I guess we need a separate music thread. One of my dreams was always to perform in a band in front of a crowd as a drummer. Better late than never.

My uncle, besides building his guitars also paints them. He's not as good at the painting as he is at the building :)

I tried learning the guitar last year too. Borrowed a Les Paul from a friend and picked up Rocksmith for the PC. Was going to learn some Poison songs as a Valentines Day gift for my wife. Holy $hit...its a lot harder than I thought it would be. Will definitely need real lessons to make progress.

I didn't originally want the Tele - I was after a Gibson Les Paul Custom and I got updated on what's going down with Gibson guitars and decided not to buy one. People in stores also reccommened I don;t order via the internet and play and inspect it in person before buying. Google 'Gibson problems'. They have serious quality control issues. The Tele was my second choice, as it's the original 50's go-to Rock n' Roll guitar. Sure the Fender Stratocaster came later with Buddy Holly and there's Eddie Cochran's Gretsch, but all the first Rockabilly & Country stuff that used an electric guitar used the Telecaster.

The learning curve is a bit steep at first. It's like riding a bicycle but takes longer until it 'clicks', then suddenly you can change those chords and it falls into place. Took me several months.

One to two years, depending on how much you practice and usually you can be good enough to play semi-pro.

It's never too late. I'm 51. A year or two is all it takes. Less if you practice a lot, and once you got your skill, you never lose it. It's like 'leveling up' only for real. One of the more useful things about Youtube is that it's full of really great stuff for novice musicians.

I do play in a band, not regularly, though it's a lot of fun. You're right - it is therapeutic. It's a good stress reliever. A hint though for anyone wanting to give music a try -before spending any money on kit I'd recommend you take a few lessons to see if you enjoy it first. I know people who've been enthusiastic only to throw in the towel after a month.

^That's my plan. We've got a great music teacher here in town and I plan on signing up for drum lessons with him.

Tragic story: I had a full set of drums GIVEN to me last year but I gave them back because I did not have the time to take lessons.

:(
