It looks like another potential lair is going to come on the market. w00t! (https://www.grogheads.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1081.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj349%2Flongblade%2FSmilies%2Fsnorkle.gif&hash=da4cf40c0914d09a0b7432e65a2d05700ef3be22)
QuoteThe world's last underwater research laboratory could be shut down for good, lacking a few million dollars in federal funding.

looks fairly zombie-proof.

I'm thinking there are a lot of good qualities to it.
I'm down with it if you guys are. I'm just wondering how we're gonna vent 40Cent's....uhhh...emissions. Carbon scrubbers can only do so much.
Don't worry, in the past 3 years I've become far too claustrophobic to step foot in a submerged domicile or vessel. I'll be phoning it in!
I'm not sure I would want to be with any of ya'll in that thing for any extended period of time.
Just sayin' :P

Well, I have a confession.
I was thinking of putting a tie on the doorknob and hanging out with a date most of the time.

What ever floats your boat.... :P
*ducks
From that exterior shot, I don't see much room for our whiskey and beer storage needs, much less the Grogheads strip club
Great thread, but what a bummer. When I separated from the Navy and started my brief civilian life before being recalled, I almost...almost...got a job working on that.
What a cool place to work (or live, whatever, but we're going to need more room for beer for sure).
this isn't bad ass.

Looks like something out of a Roger Corman movie version of 'The Abyss'.
One almost expects to see it suddenly start to walk across the sea floor on those big legs. Now that would be bad-ass!

That's kinda where I was going with it. I think Kenny has spent too much time in the thin mountain air.

That would have been very cool.
It's extremely Jules Verne. I dig it. And being small I would probably do alright in it. Until it was time to poop. You'd all be in for it then.

No problem, hang your ass out the window! ;) :D
^Now you're cooking with gas. OK I'm in.

No, you're not. I've still got a tie on the door thank you very much.
The tie has been up there for quite some time. WTF are you doing in there?
Here's a pic of us all hanging out in the new undersea lair-

In mirth's pic above that's obviously me playing the harp.
Yesterday I hear there is a Lord of the Fishes of the Sea title, now this. Ain't life grand?
Gus, it is very nice that you include the harp in your repertoire. Some great people have played harp.
Actor Cary Grant, Vaudevillian Harpo Marx, Roman Emperor Nero, and Grand Inquisitor Torquemada to name only a few.
Not sure where you fit in, but it's all good.
Out of everyone you mentioned I am probably closest to Vaudevillian. Harpo Marx is almost a relative of mine. I'm no Cary Grant, that's for sure. And I'm not quite messed up enough in the head to be a Nero-type. And I'm not brutal enough to be a Grand Inquisitor.

Inquisitors aren't brutal - they're pure.
