Because the world needed this

I had that movie on in the background for the last GrogCast we recorded :)
Some people have way too much free time on their hands. LoL
When I was a kid, i LOVED this movie. I was so pissed that they killed Doug off in the first 5 minutes of Part 2, and adding insult to injury, he was killed by an F4 Phantom masquerading as a Russian Mig!
I think I only ever saw the first one.
Wow! Here all this time I thought the movie was 'fact-based'. :2funny: Up next, Clint Eastwood in the Mig 32 Firefox?

Sorry for the spoiler, but the movie is 30 years old. :crazy2:

Much more realistic. He re-armed and re-fueled from that sub on the ice sheet. Cliff Clavin was part of the crew.
I used to have that soundtrack permanently attached to my Walkman in 8th grade. It was my usual 'walking home from the train station' music
I even plotted out an entire sequel in my head, using the same soundtrack, for IE2, before they ever got around to making the shitty follow-up

It was a shock, but I'll recover :P
Louis Gossett Jr was the man!!
Lou Gossett Jr. and I went to the same high school.
Lou Gossett Jr lived in the Shire?
Yep.
Learn something new every day.
That's why I'm here. That and Hobbit/Shire/armored dwarf jokes.
I thought you were here as part of your parole conditions.
Wait, that's why I'm here.
Why is the judge torturing us as a part of your criminal punishment.
Well...we are both guilty of similar crimes.
All this Louis Gossett Jr talk makes me want to watch Officer and a Gentleman
I was thinking Enemy Mine.
DAMN - Gossett is going to be 82 next month!!

I saw that on his Wiki page. Crazy.
I mistakenly thought he died so I guess this is a nice alternative :'(
R Lee Ermey coached him for the part in Officer and a Gentleman.
I'm afraid to look up how old Ermey is now.
Not as old as Louis Gossett Jr.
Thank Gawd
Ermey would've been good as the alien having a baby in, "Enemy Mine". "LIsten Numb-Nuts, I'm knocked-up understand? Now take your Lard-Ass over there and boil some water Dammitt"! Hopefully without a birth canal scene.

You obviously failed to see the CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE that is Iron Eagle On The Attack (otherwise known as Iron Eagle IV).
Doug comes back, bro.
Granted it's not Jason Gedrick playing him, but still, DOUG LIVED.
NO SPOILERS
I was going to watch them tonight, but screw it now.
:2funny:
Thanks BC

You should have known better than posting the topic in the first place.
I think everyone's failing to note that exactly five people saw Iron Eagle IV. That's about 200 less than was in the actual movie.
False. I saw it in the theater five times. Five separate theaters.
Incorrect. Your part of New York doesn't have five teeth to put together, let alone five theaters.

It's true. He went with my mom.
For true grogs, the only Iron Eagle movie that matters is III. Good guys flying WW2 aircraft can beat Peruvian drug lords in jets any day of the week.

only the ones that also claim ownership of copies of 4th Reich
Stand up and be counted I say!
I think every true Grog can appreciate this scene
God I remember that scene / movie.
You think they would learned after Bloodsport about racial stereo types...Between the English guy pulling a "Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon" and the Japanese pilot kamikazing a plane I was like WTF.
Just for that I give you this wonderful Wiki page:

That movie is amazing. One drug lord is killed BY A GODDAMN BELL. It's gloriously cheezy!
Quote from: ArticleBefore the first battle begins, Chappy tells Doug he has "four clusters" and to use "foil packs" to confuse "French radar."
That'll teach those filthy Frogs not to capture his viper pilot daddy and plan to execute him!
I always knew those Pierres, and their madame guillotine, were up to no good. :P
