The Air and Space Museum is hosting a fly in and day long celebration of the RAF on April 15.
Besides a Spitfire, a Lancaster, and the Luftstache, there will be Mustangs and a Mitchell.

Meh. They don't have Bob's Stache.

That's cool. I'd love to be there to see it. Our local cemetery here has a, "British Cemetery" that includes 42 RAF pilots killed while training here in WWII. Thank you all for your service.

Landing, and then taking off, from the mall would be an interesting, exciting challenge.

Not to mention a challenge for the Secret Service.

Just found out that because of potential bad weather, they are flying the planes into Udvar Hazy this afternoon instead of tomorrow morning, so we'll miss the fly-in.  We'll still get to see them on display.   :bd:

Just got back from the museum.  We got there at 0900, which must've been right after the B-25 landed.  They only had the Lancaster and the B-25, plus a few trainers and a P-8.  We got to go in both aircraft, which made the wait in line worthwhile.
