Well this fucking sucks. Rip Gunny.
Ah shit......
RIP Gunny, they don't make 'em like you anymore.
He taught us all to be better.
And he set new standards for creative swearing.....who knew it was such an art form?

He did.
Tonight i feel very old
RIP Gunny. The article does not mention "Mail Call". One of my all time favorite History Channel shows. I have the DVD set and I will cherish it now more than ever.
"Semper Fi. Carry on!"
This breaks my heart. RIP Gunny.
RIP Gunny. :'(
This one hurts. RIP Gunny.
Very sad. He made Full Metal Jacket a great movie.
Noooo! I thought he'd never die!

Yes! The boot camp part is the best part of that movie by far.
Only 74 too.
Wow. RIP
Rest in peace, Gunny.
RIP. May God have mercy on his soul.
Heaven just got the best U.S.M.C. Pearly Gate Guard it ever had. And now Numb Nutts like me will have to give Gunny 50 push-ups to get in. But it'll be worth it just to see his scary face again. R.I.P. Gunny. :notworthy:
R.I.P. indeed :notworthy:

Yeah, he was one of those guys that we all thought would live forever. Well, he will on film at least.
R.I.P.
Something about the good Gunny that always surprised me was his complete lack of fear on the acting front. If anyone has seen Saving Silverman, you'll know exactly what I'm referring to. He was hilarious in that movie.
I picked up the Mail Call bloopers CD. It is an absolute hoot. There is actually an "G" rated (heavily bleeped) and an "R" rated set. The "R" rated stuff is great.
He wasn't a half-bad actor. I remember him in the re-make of, "Willard" about the killer rats and he played a step-father/family lawyer or something and did a credible job without screaming obscenities, of course he did that better. No way a bunch of killer rats could take down THE Gunny though.

Saving Silverman is a goofy-ass movie, but it was hilarious. R Lee Ermey made it even more so - he was absolutely classic in this flick.
FUNNY!!!! :bd:

I gotta see Saving Silverman.
I wonder if it's on The Netflix...

It is not. Nor is it on Amazon Prime. Though your Netflix may be different from mine, who knows.
Do you enjoy crushing hopes and dreams?
Do you have Starz? If so I think you can watch it for free on Amazon Prime.
Otherwise you can rent it via Amazon Prime for 3.99. At least you can here...remember my Amazon charges me less than your demoRAT NY Amazon does, probably because of all the teamsters and mobsters that gotta get a taste, ya'know?
The only teamsters and mobsters where I live are those hiding bodies in the woods. The Wife does have Prime though. And all her teefs!
Kinky. ^-^
Kinkier if she took all the teefs from the bodies in the woods.
My favorite scene from 'Mail Call' was when sitting in the Driver's seat of the M-18 Hellcat TD, the blast of the 76mm gun knocked Ermy's hat off his head. The guy sitting next to him says, "Son-of-a-Bitch"! :bd:
