I'm in a cranky mood today, so I think it's going to be a World-of-Tanks-while-drinking-beer night for me.

Re-installed Panzer Command Ostfront with the latest update so I'll be checking that out. Also some NWAC. Maybe some Mass Effect.

Trying to finish my Chinese game of CiV with the Yet(not) Another Earth Map mod. Playing on the gigantic earth map with 21 other civs is really bogging my machine down...

Maybe some more CKII... thank to UCG for turning me onto this .

Trying to learn not to die in Arma II OA.  :P

I'm going to be playing either Flames of War or WH40K this afternoon.

Then it's on to Fallout New Vegas.

After that I'll play some Drox Operative - I've got a preview I'm working on.

I'm gonna kick off the weekend with a game I've not played in a while.  It's a real time strategy game set in a restaurant in current times called "Take the wife to dinner".  I hear it was a smash hit on Steam last year but never really got into it.  Perhaps tonight will be different.  :D

Then it's off to PBEM land in Armada 2526 Supernova with the Grog boyz.

Last week I finished Mass Effect 3 and a buddy let me borrow his Mass Effect 1 game so I am going to continue with this.

Dunno really!  Unless I pick something up courtesy of tomorrow's Bargain Bucket on RPS, I guess I'll be playing Warlock: Master of the Arcane, both single player and (hopefully) multiplayer on Sunday.  Apart from that, I really have no idea, although I did recently reinstall Uplink so I may have a bash at that.  It's more difficult than I remember!

Just had my second Vassal game of Lock 'n Load: Band of Heroes http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/18460/lock-n-load-band-of-heroes (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/18460/lock-n-load-band-of-heroes). Godd**n! is that a fun game. Other than that I'm in the early stages of beating Plants vs. Zombies for the 3rd time.

Oh, my Vassal opponent also loves For the People http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/833/for-the-people. I own that as well and can't wait to play it soon.

In addition to my World of WarCraft & World of Tanks dailies and my EVE Online training queue, I will probably be playing Civilization V and Warlock: Master of the Arcane. Then there's the likelihood of playing Majesty Gold HD that I finally downloaded and installed today (as well as the possibility of playing some of the other games I haven't downloaded that I've purchased over the past year!).

never played tg1 or tg2 so cant compare. i just enjoy the rpg aspect of it. so in the latest game your "lifestyle" determines how fast you regen stamina. so you can purchase cars, houses and set your diet. the community has mods available so i will be picking those up once the game is officially released.

Been playing Shoot Many Robots, which is a fun little diversion actually.

I put about 10 hours in to Sniper Elite 2, but...yeah, I'm done with that. Too many little annoyances added up to it just becoming a slog.

I'm thinking it's time for either an RPG or a strategy game. So...maybe Fallout New Vegas or Wargame : European Escalation?

Seriously DDO is freaking addictive.  I know there are a ton of D&D gamers here perhaps we could setup a static group to play?  It's free well not for me I pay but I've more than gotten my moneys worth out of a year subscription so far.

Civilization IV:  Am still going through the tutorial.  Want to start a full campaign after that, but haven't decided on a nation yet.

Crusader Kings 2:  Ireland, here I come!

Armada 2526 Supernova:  Just started a singleplayer campaign as the Qa-Qa Assembly (kicking it old-school), and of course my usual PBEM games with my fellow Grogs.

I'd definitely be interested.  Haven't played D&D regularly for far too long now, and continue to suffer from withdrawal!

Skyrim: I finished the legion quest line and have begun to concentrate more on the main quest line. After I finish the main quest, I'm thinking of starting a new character. I'm debating between starting a mystic warrior/battlemage or a pure mage.

Crusader Kings II: Started a new game as Castile last night. First thing to do is take central Spain from the Muslims.

Tribes: Ascend: It's tribes. Jetpacks, skiing, spinfusers, its all there. I haven't bought any weapons or items with real money. I think I would rather just unlock them myself.

Diablo 3: I've taken a small break over the last month after getting my two main characters to 60 and to Act I of Inferno.

Steel Battalion: The MechWarrior Online closed beta for people who bought the founders pass starts August 7th. I want to play something to get me in the mood. I've also been reading some of the newer battletech novels.

I have been playing 'Dodge the Lightning Bolts' all day and in between been playing 'Chef.' I also managed to purchase the new DLC for Shogun 2 and also got Unity of Command for half off. The list of games that I need to either begin or continue include:

Unity of Command
Shogun 2
Arma 2 Combined Ops
The Witcher 2
Take on Helicopters [and Hinds expansion]
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Warlock
Panzer Corps
Fallout New Vegas
NecroVision
Crusader Kings II
Northern Crusades
Endless Space
WH40K: DoW II and the expansions
Wing Commander Saga (free download based on Freespace 2 engine)
Toy Soldiers
Rise of Flight
Over Flanders Fields
Diablo III

God help me.

God damn your eyes!

Get on the ArmA II server that DV8 so kindly set up.  I totally promise not to riddle you with the Ka-52's main gun and then see how far I can get your corpse to skip across the map by volleying rocket fire into it.  Totally....

Well, I totally wiped a drive up to DOD standards and recovered it.  Proof of concept complete.

No times for games tonight, but some book reading, at least.  Maybe tomorrow.

---

I also solved another technical problem today ... how to get local copies of critical emails stored offline on your iPad.  (again more redundancy in case of hardware and cloud failures).

How does that compare to what DBAN (http://www.dban.org/) will do to your target HDD when you use it? I use DBAN before I sell a computer and I also use it when I buy a used computer, before installing a fresh OS.

There are a ton of free drive scrub programs, but nothing free that does single partitions.

I only wanted to do the SYSTEM and USER partitions. Things like GAME or MEDIA partitions could be left intact. Also, by not wiping the MBR, it makes the recovery somewhat easier.

So, after finding nothing free that met my needs, I bought the DOS pro version of:

The Austrians are wiping the floor with me in my ETW campaign. In one turn they took two provinces from me, Croatia and Bulgaria. Then the Russians moved in and took Moldavia. Looks like ETW will remain winless for me :/

Decided on Fallout : New Vegas...but now I'm having crash problems. Maybe it's just a bugged save, otherwise I'll just uninstall and play something else. I have better things to do than figure out precisely how one specific game is bugging out when 50 others I could be playing likely aren't.  ::)

I have had problems with a bugged save in Fallout New Vegas. Sometimes the last saved game won't load. In that case I just go to the Load menu and load the last saved game. So far that's fixed the issue.

Finally, got to play my CMAK game from Sunday night.

I took the Ridge.  It was a very smokey game.

First, I used smoke to blind some Stugs while I set Shermans behind the blocked LOS.  When the smoke cleared, BAM!

Second, the enemy dropped a broad smoke screen to try negate the imbalance in fire power.  It was real gift, since it allowed me to advance infantry quite a bit forward with very few casualties.

Ah, what can you say, I was playing against the AI, but still fun ... I gave it +1 experience and +25% resources.
