I am partial to Elf, Scrooged, It's a Wonderful Life and Mickey's Christmas Carol. Oh and Bad Santa.
For me the must watch are Christmas Vacation, Elf, Home Alone, and Christmas Story....they never get old:)
Love Die Hard as well, but don't find it on TV as much as the others.

The family and I really want to check out the new Netflix move with Kurt Russell titled "The Christmas Chronicles". Looks pretty fun from the trailers.
I like to re-watch the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes episode "The Blue Carbuncle". A great episode to start with and the Christmas theme is a nice touch for the holidays.
I hate to say it but I've never seen "Die Hard". I am sore ashamed.

"Die Hard" is on one of my Sling channels and I am going to DVR it.
Sorry to hear "Christmas Chronicles" didn't make the grade for GR. It has had some mixed reviews from what I've seen. Oh well.....

I've never seen DH5 myself, just due to bad reviews. But in my opinion they're all good for different reasons through #4 (which should have ended the series). I tend to regard #3 as taking place between 1 and 2.
(And I'm one of those people who like Die Harder the best of all four. And not only because it has by far the best grand finale.)
Come to think of it, isn't DH2 also a Christmas film? WHY YES IT IS!! "Ah, what the hell: it's Christmas!"

Joyeaux Noel is great. It will make you cry.
Battle of the Bulge is classic and reeks of awesomeness. As long as viewed with the innocence of a child because I agree we all know it's not exactly historically authentic. But come on the movie has some great lines in it like, "Boys, too many boys." and "It's like hitting them with tennis balls!"
Joyeaux Noel is indeed a great movie and I agree with Gus, it will make you cry. :)
Meanwhile, if I have to see, "Home Alone" one more time, I'll go give the burglars a hand at killing that kid myself. :hide:

Watched Die Hard 2 with my daughters a few nights ago and they did not like it as much as the original. I remembered it being better but the last time I saw it was probably 20+ years ago.
If I watched Die Hard 2 I'd cry too.
I do legitimately shed tears at the end of DH2, at how awesome it is! :bd: <:-)
I simply have no comprehension of how anyone can think DH2 is a bad film. Or even any worse than the original. It seems better to me in every regard. (Except for the terrible as usual though slightly iconic Michael Kamen music. :buck2: But at least the series has a consistent musical theme.)
