There is no demo at this time.
Awesome...really intrigued by this one.
Tempted to get it but I never finished playing through the original.
I see that the original is still on sale at Matrix for $19.99 even though the sale was supposed to end mid July. It is full price at Slitherine.
Grab it before they fix it if you are interested.
I thought I'd love the original Panzer Corps, a real rejuvenation of the Panzer General series. But after playing it a little, it seems to scream mechanics over any sound tactical play. It may now look the part, but it just doesn't scratch the historical itch I seem to have these days. Which is a shame, if I'd have clicked with the first one, I'd have fawned all over this sequel in North Africa.
Lots of gaming for $20. I will likely pick it up since I am really enjoying pbem with panzer corps, even though the campaign didn't grab me.
I bought the download & physical copy. Then went on a four day business trip. On my return, the physical copy had arrived. Great news!
Now the bad news - no printed manual. None - even though this is a "stand-alone" game. I am not happy about this.
I'm playing the main campaign on "easy" at the moment. It has been fun. There are a set of unusual game compromises used to capture some of the wild back & forth action in 1941 - 1942. I'm making notes & will give detailed feedback when I finish up my business travel & complete the backlog of work at the office.
I am looking forward to your review Airboy.
Actually, the situation with the manual is even worse. There is NO MANUAL for Afrika Corps. They repeat the same manual that you got with the original Panzer Corps.
This is inexcusible. There are new units, new terrain and even new obstacles (mines) - yet no manual.
I uninstalled/reinstalled and checked all of the files to confirm this. There is no new manual.

That is a disappointment.
I still haven't played Panzer Corps yet. Some day I plan to get around to it.
I have played a few PBEM games with DicedT. All have been enjoyable but we both agree that some of the so-called balanced scenarios are not very balanced.
Confirmation on the lack of a manual with Afrika Corps:
