Well, sounds great, but unless the FCC really, really goes after these clowns, I suspect spam and spoofing will go on...and on...and on...and on...etc
I remember getting a robocall a number of years ago and I pressed the button to talk to a live person so I could tell them off. When I pointed out that I was on the no-call list, they laughed and said "do you think the government cares?"
My philosophy was that the more people waste their time, the less profitable they will be and they will find some other way to scam people. Unfortunately, the goverment keeps saying don't answer, don't talk to anyone. That just lets the scammers find the gullible people faster.
there are apps for smart phones that actively fuck with these kind of calls.
