I was just wondering about the approximate dates of the Steam sales that happen every year? Anyone have dates for Matrix as well? Thanks for your input.
talked about here

matrix sale usually starts day before thanksgiving but haven't seen anything official yet
Steam check here (for all sales approx): https://www.whenisthenextsteamsale.com/
One day. Ready your wallets.
I hope this Steam sale has some really awesome deals. I mean deep discounts like 50% or more. Their recent sales where they take ten cents off of the retail price and call it a sale is insulting!
A have one game and one game only in mind for this sale and that's it. I SWEAR.
That will last until about 5 seconds after the sale starts.

In that boat myself too. That or DLC. Either way I'm ready. :D
Well I never admit to being ready. For anything.
I dropped $150ish on the Compass games sale already.
I paid full price for the Underrail Expansion ($10) and it has been excellent. I've played Underrail extensively over the last 10 days and am up to 18th level (Level 30 cap).
I want to get Warplan from Matrix - but I doubt they will put it on sale.

I bet the loins are moistened though?
Thanks guys, I bought Warplan with my fifty percent coupon
Anybody else having a problem making a purchase on steam today? I've been unable to complete a transaction all day?
Steam holiday sales, oy. Thor help us all. :crazy2:

If there were issues, I'm not having any now. I just picked up the
Three Kingdoms DLC for
Oriental Empires without any problems.
Loins moist, always. I'll dry when I'm dead.
Three Kingdom's Total War on sale for 47.99 at Steam - but that is pretty anti-climactic. For me, anyway.

Same. Even though by most accounts, 3KTW is a great game (and it covers a period I'm interested in), I find it hard to justify shelling out that many florins for a game anymore.
Isn't Black Friday next week?
Yeah I think everyone was going by whenisthenextsteamsale.com which is usually correct. Looks like it wasn't this time, even though it insists there's a sale on now!

I noticed. It's quite amusing TBH.
https://www.whenisthenextsteamsale.com/ is now counting down to 10AM PST Nov 26th (Upcoming Tuesday).
which was originally stated as the start date:)

Same here. I'm still hopeful they'll discount it further next time.
It can be purchased for less at some sites. Whether those sites are legit, well...
...the lowest legit price I have seen is around 40.00. Still a little high for me.
Steam sale has started and runs until December 3.
I'M NOT READY!!
Actually I have been shopping around all morning and ironically the two games I have honed in on are both not through Steam...Tank Crew and Anno 1800.
Both are pricey but both are on sale right now.
How about 45 year old men-children?
Welp.... $80+ gone.... :idiot2: :D
Already??
Home with plague and hopped up on cold meds... bad mixture all around.
Bunch of stuff from my wishlist and Brass Brigade.

I hope you purchased games you actually wanted and not Armored Panda Simulator.
Feel better!

Illness, Internet, Drugs & Credit Cards are a dangerous combination.
Agreed. Not as dangerous as a weekend bender and then waking up with new tatoos...in a room you don't know where you are and...a Wedding Ring? :wow: But that could happen to anybody, right? Hope you feel better Barth.
There's an Armored Panda Simulator?
And get well soon.
Get well soon Barthheart!
Also: YEET I finally got Polaris Sector!
Twelve items on my wishlist are on sale. This won't end well for my wallet.
Twelve?! Is that all?! Noob! Just wait until isthereanydeal.com sends their next email to me... :D

Brass Brigade
Steel Divisions 2 (base game)
GG War in the West
MegaCorp (Stellaris DLC)
Ancient Relics (Stellaris DLC)
Shroud do me for a while.... until next billing cycle at least...
Oh, and thanks for all the well wishes. I'm at the tail end of this thing so hope to be at work tomorrow... what the am I typing... :buck2:
I had a number of games queued up on deep discounts from the guys who make Breach and Clear (including that game) -- but the Steam cart had some kind of psychosis.
I'm just going to wait until later. Or treat that like a sign, since that was only the beginning of my scan through my wishlist...

There's an Armored Panda Simulator?
No, I don't think World of Warcraft is on Steam yet. Maybe on GoG?
When Armored Panda Simulator is finally released it will change the world.
My Steam cart is also losing its mind. Which is probably a good thing. Just so many good looking games to choose from.
I spent about $80 on various things on my wishlist that have sat unbought.
Finally got Thrones of Britannia to try out. Also Gary Grigsby's War in the East which I'd avoided getting for a long time but finally just wanted to give it a go.
Also Warhammer 40k Mechanicum.
None of these will work in 21:9 on the new 34" Ultrawide I had delivered today.
Ah, here it is. "179 games in your wishlist are on sale" :D
I think I'll be okay getting through the current sale. Of the 18 items on my wishlist, only 7 are currently on sale. And of those seven, the only one I'm seriously considering getting is Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Edition. The rest simply don't tempt me right now.
what the heck, picked up a steam controller for only $5...worth giving it a shot:)

That's more than my purchases and wishlist combined. Do you just have every game on Steam on your wishlist? :P

I really enjoyed Thrones!
To be fair, I think some of the shopping cart schizophrenia is explainable by having put the games into the cart with my Surface (which I'm typing on right now, btw). I now recall noticing before that Steam has trouble, even though the account is exactly the same, recognizing games put in with the Surface vs games put in with the Falcon NW. Why that's true, I have no idea; seems like a design glitch.
Having said that, even on my Surface the cart randomly decided to forget I had added games yesterday, requiring me to hunt them up and add them again. :buck2:
And the fact of the matter, is that I have a ton of games already I'm interested in playing. The only reason I added those to the cart (aside from interest) was that all together they amount to maybe ten bucks.
I ended up buying one thing on my Steam wishlist - from Matrix. The other things on my wishlist did not go on deep enough discount for me to buy.
Interested to read your take on Thrones of Britannia. I will be playing it very soon, for the first time.
Still honing down my list. I've added Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom (GOG 5.00), Brass Brigade (Steam, 7.50), and Anno 1800 and some DLC for it at Ubi for 47.50.
May wait for the Christmas sale for Anno.
Eleven items on my wishlist are on sale. None were discounted enough to buy.

No. The games I bought aren't on it any more!
May also be getting A Plague Tale because it's 50% off and I am in a plaguey, medievallly tortuous mood.

Never tried those]
I couldn't resist:
War Party
Kingdom Wars 2 Definitive Edition
Dungeons 3
Adeptus Titanicus: Dominions
Acthung! Cthulhu Tactics
If my willpower fails me, I may go back and get:
Divinity Original Sin 2
Pillars of Eternity 2
I have way too many games on my wishlist and in my backlog. So I may just pick up a few DLCs that are on sale to round out some of my games.
Of course, that's how the full addiction starts is with the gateway words: ..."may just pick up a few..."
Groggy
Yeah, that's how I started too... (https://steamdb.info/calculator/76561198033981627/?cc=uk)

Sigh... asking for a refund for GG War in the West. Tried to run full screen on my 4K monitor and all the text in the menus is garbled. Try run in window, but only works if the window is teeny tiny. No excuse these days... ::)

Another fan here as well. :) It's obviously not for everyone (due to the tweaks they made to the standard TW "formula"), but I found it to be an enjoyable experience.
My first playthrough for Thrones of Britannia is coming very soon. But first some Ancestors Legacy and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. And I can't pull myself away from the newly released Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. The AI is wily now and its just damned fun.
Just bought Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom for 3 dollah from GOG. It was 6 dollah yesterday but I didn't have enough time to actually make the purchase so the delay saved me 3 dollah :)
Just also purchased (unexpectedly) the remastered Resident Evil 2 for 16 dollah...about 75% off with an additional Black Friday discount.
Finally I am still expecting to get Brass Brigade for ~7.50 and A Plague Tale for ~22.00 and Age of Empires (original) remastered for ~9.99.
Then I will be done.
I think.
