The Steam Winter Sale just popped up on my computer.
Wow, whenisthenextsteamsale.com gets it wrong twice in a row!

Although our very on Grog forecast was correct:)

Haha, nice!
Nothing really grabbing me this time, and funds are tight due to Christmas, so I've only bought Anno 2205.
Hell Let Loose for me and that'l be it
Picked up GTFO since it's gotten pretty good reviews so far, and it looks like a more AAA version of Space Beast Terror Fright, which I adore.
Also went ahead and picked up Tyranny, which I've been eyeing for quite a while. I'll sink my teeth into that when I'm really feeling up for some oppression and... well, tyranny. >:D
Heh, here's my email from isthereanydeal.com
"155 games from your wishlist are on sale"
These Steam Sales have not really been stellar at all this year. I keep getting emails from Steam alerting me that items on my wishlist are on sale but when I check what the discounted price is I'm not impressed. Fifty cents off of retail is not on sale in my book.
Promptly removed those games off my wishlist.
I went a little bug nutty last night. Got Tie Fighter for 3.50, Tannenberg for 8.00, Age of Empires Definitive Edition for 5.00, and three DLCs for the WWI game Battle of Empires for about 6 dollars.

GR, our resident prophet and oracle! :)
Forgot, also picked up Order of Battle - Red Star for 9.89.

Ignore Steam emails. Register with isthereanydeal.com instead. Sync it with your Steam wishlist, then add games to it as normal. Then, on isthereanydeal.com, you can set default notification settings (games must be discounted by x percentage, or drop below x price) and you can override them for individual games too. You can even specify which online stores you want notifications about. I can't overstate how useful the website is.
I have a stack of unplayed games that are more exciting than the games on my wishlist. So I'm passing on this one.

+1
That sums it up nicely.
Loved the first Pillars of Eternity so yesterday I got the sequel PoE2:Deadfire in the sale. Just getting started with it today.

Seems like that is the strategy to use. :bd:

+2 for me too as well.
I picked up Final Theory and Xenia's Ark, two quirky-looking space 4x titles. The former appears to be a quick/"lite" 4x game (if such a thing can exist), but looks like it has decent production values. The latter (which is still in Early Access) is one I've had my eye on for some time; one of its more unique selling points is being able to conduct battles in both space and on planets (with armies of Mechs).
I also -- gods help me -- picked up Europa Universalis IV "Extreme Edition" ( ::) ) Given my interest in the time period, combined with my enjoyment of both Crusader Kings 2 and Stellaris, I couldn't resist. :-[
Interstellar Space Genesis is finally on sale. Finally picked it up and am really having fun with it. Lots more improvements in the works. This one is gonna be a gem I think. Really love the hero system.
Guys... Gloomhaven or Cold Waters I have 8 hours to decide :)
Already ruled out Gladius, SD2 and Battlestar Deadlock
I grabbed RS Siege cause a buddy said he wanted to get a group together to play.
Besides that either the discount wasn't good enough or I have mostly everything (and like others a backlog the size of the national debt)
I got a ton of cheap one-off titles this Christmas season. I don't have time to play the titles I've already bought, so I don't know what possessed me to pick up another half-dozen games. Maybe it's some sort of weird realization for having a job again? ;D
Cold Waters, Skyrim Enhanced and Disco Elysium. And I don't have time for any of them......
Crazy. So far, I've not gotten zip from Steam this season. Hunh. :o
Opted for Gloomhaven so along with Darkest Dungeon that concludes my sales spending....

I'd be curious to hear what you think of Gloomhaven. I have the boxed game, but haven't played it yet.

Ditto. I decided to grab Thronebreaker on GOG.com though.
I bought more than I planned to, including Anno 1800, AoE3 Complete for the insane Wars of Liberty mod, Tie Fighter, DLCs for Battle of Empires, the newest Wolfenstein game...only thing I did not pick up is the new Star Wars game. It's still too pricey for me.
Picked up Jedi Fallen Order for PC. Loving it so far.
How much did you pay - if you don't mind me asking...

I picked it up when it came out but refunded. It needed more time at that point. Seemed like they were heading in the right direction at least.
I too have the boardgame, and trays and sleeves, still unopened. Will pick up the PC version when they get the campaign in.

100,000 Quatloos.
Seriously, it was on steam $49. I know Amazon has it for $44, and had it for as low as $33, but those were all for the console versions.
My wife bought it for PS4 for $33 and is having a copy shipped. I just wasn't willing to play it on console. I'm liking it a lot on PC with ultrawide and a programmable gaming mouse.

Box version is awesome.. best if you have some friends that will take on characters and you can all campaign together!

Yeah, the board game looks like it would be a lot of fun, especially it you played it with a little bit of alcohol: 2-3 shots max. Any more than that, and comprehending the rules wold become difficult....
Thanks D. Lowest I've seen the PC version is ~44...quinloons, at Green Man.
Come on, Gus, quinloos aren't an accepted unit of currency on Triskellion!
O0
Only for scruffy-looking Nerf Herders.
I picked up Command Modern Operations bundled with Tacview Advanced. That's pretty much it...light spending holiday game-wise.
House renovation-wise...not so much. :-\
Who you calling scruffy looking?
I am obsessed with getting Fallen Order now. But it's got to be the right price :)

Isn't it quatloos?
Discounted Tacview Advanced for Command, Red Dead Redemption and NBA2K2020 that I had Steam Gift cards to burn.
Passed on Hell Let loose because I already have Post Scriptum and I just don't see my self delving into a WWII shooter in next 6 months...by then you could probably get it on sale with a bigger discount.
I probably would have gotten the Jedi game if you could be the empire, maybe a dlc will have player as empire story line.
