Still in disbelief about this.  41 is far too young to go.  RIP.

The vultures of the MSM have been focusing on this for hours. Whatever gets ratings. Truly scum.

It pisses me off just how much today reporters were creep-filming or straight up approaching and interviewing people who are actively mourning.

This one hit hard, the lakers are pretty much the center of all things SoCal sports and Kobe was seriously legendary status.  It really sucks cause many fans were waiting for Kobe to comeback and coach the lakers or watch his daughter follow in his footsteps and make an impact in the sport.  Shockingly sad day

Has anyone tried to blame the crash on Trump yet?

If that occurred in the area I'm thinking of, the pilot should be held accountable.
There are a lot of ups and downs in the hills there, and reports are the weather was socked in, visibility very short.  One report indicated it was in hundreds of feet!
Bad area to be flying in VFR conditions.  He should have known better.

Definitely seems like a CFIT, but how much of the responsibility belongs to the pilot remains to be seen. It's too early to point fingers. As an aside, the "you're too low" graphic on the video is a little deceptive. The actual quote from the comms is actually something along the lines of "you're too low for flight following." This is not a warning about a collision danger.

Kobe and his daughter went to Mass that morning - so hopefully both died in a State of Grace.
