Greetings to all fans of military strategy games!

I am the authorized representative of Starni Games, and I want to inform you that recently we proudly announce our new game Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg, which we consider a spiritual successor to Panzer Strategy.

Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg is a turn-based strategy set in the period of WW2. It brings a modern look and new features to a good old wargame genre. You are to lead the German Armed forces overcoming unthinkable odds and claiming the ultimate bittersweet victory in Europe. The game is created with great care and attention to historical details by a team that is passionate about WW2 history. It will cover the German campaigns from 1938 to 1944 with the majority of operations being historical and several alternate history ones in one twenty-operations-long campaign.
The game will be based on Strategic Mind series mechanics, but unlike "The Pacific" it will feature mostly land operations and lots of new units, content, and features.

The work on Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg is going full steam since October, and some preliminary work was being done before that. So, we already have made very significant progress and expect to deliver the game in Spring 2020. We work hard to make further quality improvements to the series to make sure you can enjoy the immersive, smart and challenging game this spring.

Here we are ready to answer any questions you may have about Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg. We will be glad to hear any of your feedback and suggestions about our new game!

Note: not actually a new game, it's an update to their prior game Panzer Strategy released last year.

Which I'm glad to see! -- they've got a strong update plan. But it's only a new game, per se, in the sense that they're charging for it as a new game listing. ;)

As a fan of Panzer General-ish games, I thought PanzStrat was a good step toward creating something like a WW2 version of Fantasy Wars / Elven Legacy (i.e. a fully 3D "general" style game, Fantasy General in their case), which the market could definitely use. There were a lot of neat touches to PanzStrat, starting with an opening campaign in the Spanish Civil War to set up the units being brought into Case White. It lacked some key polishing in many areas, but still worked pretty well. I've got the new version wishlisted and it will no doubt be a day one purchase.  :smitten:

Jason,

Did you play their follow-up strategy game, Strategic Mind: The Pacific. I'm still thinking about a possible purchase but haven't pulled the trigger (yet).

Haven't played it yet, but will probably pick it up when Blitz releases.

You are right about something. But I can say not as a marketer, but as a person who was personally involved in the development of a significant part of the game - 70% of the content was redone. Initially, we wanted just put the mechanics of Strategic Mind: The Pacific on the Panzer Strategy. But then we realized that it would not work. Therefore, absolutely all maps and mission scenarios were redone. If you played the SM: The Pacific, then now you'll see something similar, but on the land (although there are sea missions too). So SM: Blitzkrieg can be considered a remake of the Panzer Strategy, but in fact it's a completely new game. By the way, new campaign is not identical with Panzer Strategy, that is, some missions will be replaced by completely new ones.
