As usual, Stallman has a point but I don't particularly agree with him.  I don't think that free software is the ultimate weapon against what Stallman perceives as the enemies (totalitarian states, megacorps etc).  As the article says, Valve's play for Linux will, I suspect, do more good than harm.  I really think that if Valve do this right, it could be a huge driver of Linux adoption - which is better, in the long run, than the current stagnant situation.  Bugger all else has really driven adoption in the last few years...let's let Valve have a crack at it.

I'm glad someone like Stallman is around, but I don't always agree with him, bless his little cotton socks.
