I can't decide if that is awesome, hilarious, or really sad.

I think every illegitimate child whose mother is on welfare or Medicaid should be required to have their DNA tested. Then the fathers of those bastards should be made to pay the cost of feeding and caring for their children.

you know how much DNA testing costs? and how do you compel men to submit their DNA  for Testing? and on what grounds? [Maury could start giving away iphones?]  Its a culture thing I think.

Make the women accountable, not just the men ... put em to work

My Hippie pal Benjamine Franklin said it best

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

According to the article (http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/08/15/whos-your-daddy-truck-offers-answers-with-dna-tests/), between $299 and $575. Which is a lot cheaper than paying the bills bringing a child up to adulthood.

That would be covered by federal and state legislation. The term "deadbeat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadbeat_parent)" comes to mind.

I keep telling peeps on this forum that they'd like my kinder gentler form of authoritarianism ... "be accountable or we'll make you!"

I would not be for mandatory paternity testing.

However, I might be convinced to support some kind of mandatory testing if you want to receive any kind of government money. Nothing wrong with helping those in need, but there's nothing wrong with having some extra items to go along with the money.
