I did play the demo. It is very interesting.
There's not a lot of micro management either. They are pretty intelligent. They will do what you want them to do. They have moods just like Dwarf Fortress, but they are simple folk, they just need a lodge to sleep in (and you will hear them snore at night) food to eat, and water to drink. Give them those things and they will be happy. The game is good at letting you know what they need. I liked it a lot.
Yep it is Lumberpunk. You can unlock buildings and technology, better buildings, waterwheels, etc. It's neat.
