Title: Galaxy on Fire 2?
Post by: Jarhead0331 on August 22, 2012, 08:34:52 PM
Anybody playing this?  It was originally developed for mobile devices where it was received very favorably.  Its now made its way over the PC, but I'm having trouble finding impressions...anybody have any thoughts?  Tpek, I know you have it...what say you?

It's pretty neat little game.
Haven't played it that much, but I quite like it so far.
Reminds me of the old Freelancer game (especially the controls).

If you're looking for a hardcore trading&production business sim set in space you should stick with the X series,
if you're into entering planets and realistic vector based movement, stick with the Evochron/Arvoch.
However if you don't mind some bit of semi-arcadey fun, this could be a nice little gem.

Frankly, I am quite impressed by the game. For a modern Indie game, this certainly came out in a very polished state (no bugs or CTDs encountered so far).
Not surprising given it was first available on mobiles (rather than consoles).

Have it on my Ipad, and it makes for a pretty decent game on that platform. But I cant imagine playing it on a PC unless they made some drastic improvements to all aspects of the game. Just a little to  light weight for my tastes..
