Changed gears from WWII ETO to the Dark Ages and have gone back to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Total War: Thrones of Britannia and starting Crusader Kings III.

Funny story, Nik Kershaw also wrote a song for the movie (song called Running Scared) but it wasn't selected (think it's a very good song though). If i remember well, the movie wasn't very good despite having some cool actors.
Going on ski vacation for a week. Intend to play some more Oriental Empires tonight as Genghis Khan. Will try to have some gaming time on my netbook during the week (MOO3, Star Trek: Birth of the Federation or some other classics). We'll see.

I never played DW1 but have been following a lot of the lets plays of the preview beta version and am really looking forward to release day.

I had missed those.
Although only 7 races are in the game on release there are 20 (including these 7) that show up as non playable minor factions I believe so that will do okay for me , but I understand for DW1 devotees it may be disappointing.
The camera control issues concern me a bit more though so I may wait to see if that is addressed.
Rome 2 with the DEI Mod if I have time and yardwork if I can't get out of it. Have a great weekend Grogs.

Got a truncated weekend owing to having to take a travel day on Sunday to get to next week's job site, so not really sure if I'll be focusing on any gaming per se.
Think I'll haul out the RPG books for a looksie; got a hankering for GURPS for some odd reason.

I'll probably be playing a lot of Dominions 5 in preparation for multiplayer game I've got planned.
Then a lot of MTW2 with both the Third Age Mod and the Divide and Conquer Mod.
I regret I have never played any of the Lord of the Rings mods for an Total War game. How is Third Age?
^Oh man it's good. Third Age does have a few bugs in it though, like crashing to desktop when a battle loads but it doesn't happen very often. Save your game before a battle
But there are a ton of units in the mod that really do a good job representing all of the factions. There is even giant ogres that throw boulders at people in the Orc roster of units. Lot's of cutscense taken from the Lord of Ring movies too which really add to the atmosphere.
Haven't tried Divide and Conquer (a Third Age submod) yet but saw a few YouTube videos which really got me interested.

The Third Age Mod for M2TW was one of all-time favorites. I played all the factions. :D My very favorite part though was a Custom Battle with a Balrog vs Ent with Elves and Orcs thrown-in for fun. Despite the Balrog's flaming sword and whip, the Ent trashed him in about 3-4 min. Great stuff!

100% agree Greg. It just captures the Vietnam conflict brilliantly.
I have a few MP games going and that takes the game to another level again though the AI is much improved as well.
Star Citizen - Xenothreat - Did this today with two mates and the mission bugged out but was able to be played and money earned from it constantly at the stage it bugged out on. A LOT of enemy kills. They just kept spawning.

Long and short:
A Javelin DD has been fighting enemy in the area and needs resupply and repair. She has returned to Jericho station in your area to do this. However, the supply convoy meant to facilitate repairs and resup has been ambushed. Your job is to recover the supplies and hold off the enemy. The enemy is trying to stop you resupplying the Javelin and trying to destroy the Javelin itself at Jericho station before it can reactivate.
1) Recover supplies
2) Hold off enemy attacks on supply recovery operations
3) Hold off enemy attacks on Jericho\Javelin
The Javelin will be attacked by Idris frigates that will use rail guns to try to kill the Javelin Destroyer.
Please also note that the supply convoy wrecks have been spiked with enemy foot patrols intent on spoiling recovery operations.
Recommend multi tools with Tractor beam attachments and a fast transport to enable delivery of supplies that specifically cannot travel in qauntum without exploding.
