Definitely:
Crusader Kings 2: Scotland rampage continues
War of the Roses Beta: ummmm, well, I guess I gotta log some more time and that's that
Mount and Blade- Warband: just got back into the cRPG mod after spending some time with War of the Roses
On the maybe list:
Skyrim
BMS Falcon
And I'll probably spend a lot of time putting together my Obutto desk that arrived Thursday. W00t! ;D
PBEM Armada 2526 Supernova and Commander Europe at War. Also continue my Panzer Corps and Shogun 2 campaigns. :)
Strike Fighters 2 With Nato Mod, WINSPMBT & WINSPWW2, FSX, SHIV.
Red Orchestra with Darkesthour Mod.
Maybe some Mount and Blade Warband and Steel Armor: Blaze of War.
GUILD WARS 2! \o/
CM:SF, USMC campaign, and maybe some Distant Worlds.
DW/LWAMI
Definitely:
Distant World Legends: New official patch was finally released. I played around a little with some of the betas but have been holding off starting a new campaign until it was officially out.
Diablo 3: v1.04 came out this week. Added paragon levels and a ton of other changes.
Skyrim: I've been making some tweaks to one of my installed mods. Plan on finish doing that tomorrow, then get back to the main quest. I got the Elder Scroll, finally, now its back to the throat of the world to learn dragon rend, kill Alduin, and I think that will be the end.
Maybe:
Master of Orion 3: Got it from Gamersgate last weekend with blue coins. Haven't done anything with it yet except install the base game.
Crusader Kings 2: Want to start a new game as someone in the HRE or Italy.
I'll also be spending some time beta testing a new game... :-X
played some WoT earlier and just got my download link for planetside 2 beta. hope i can play some tonight!
Cpt, please report back as much info as you can (NDA?) about Planetside2. I was part of the original beta for the very first game and played another 6mos after launch. It was heaps of fun but I was also playing WW2OL and only had time for 1 MMO.
yeah nda. can probably only tell ya if i like it or not. no specifics such as units, abilities etc...
Not much time for gaming this weekend but I hope to get some CM:FI and maybe some ARMA II in.
So my will finally gave way and I bought CMFI. I'm starting the German campaign so I'll be hanging-out with boys from the Herman Goring Div. Hopefully there'll still be a few left by Monday.
More Sleeping Dogs. Probably not a lot of gaming time this weekend, so that might end up being it.
I will probably be playing Warlock: Master of the Arcane and Civilization V with a sprinkling of a few other, older games as well.
Continue holding together my Kingdom of Ireland in CKII. Maybe beat up on the Scotts if I can raise enough cash.....
Beta testing WWII turn based tactical hex and counter computer game.... you guys are going to love this! 8)
Hope to get back into our MP game of Warlock after my OD'ing on choccie cake yesterday ::)
I also have your WSR mod on Vassal, so if you are able to squeeze a game in Barthheart, drop me a mail.

Thats just mean. You shouldn't tease us like that. :P
More DCS World A-10C training. What a sim ;)
Going into Warlock for awhile.
Fallout 3
Some Diablo III, then starting Witcher 2, and maybe some Third Age: Total War. Oh and perhaps some Warlock.
I've got mixed feelings about Warlock. I know I'm in the minority on this one.
What's the matter?
Several things. IMO balance is off, diplomacy is lacking, some other stuff. I'll play some more because I can feel its a good game, but I'll most likely end up playing some WIA instead.
Diplomacy started out being almost non existent, not sure what it is like now but several patches have claimed to improve it. One of the guys who have played it more than me can attest to that if it's true.
The balance has always struck me as OK. I liked the utter uberness of some of the high level units.
BALLS! The retailer I bought Guild Wars 2 from cocked it up; it's not a three-day headstart at all, it's a one-day headstart. Gotta wait until Monday to play. :'(
As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm playing all space 4x games this weekend:
Birth of the Federation,
Armada 2526 Supernova, and
Distant Worlds: Legends. Good times!

I think it's the lack of diplomacy that has largely kept me from pulling the trigger on this one -- that, and the Steam requirement (although my resistance to the latter is significantly lower than what it used to be.)
I know a lot of you guys enjoy
Warlock as more of a fantasy wargame, which I can appreciate, but the premise holds little appeal for me personally. I prefer games to be a little more Civ-like, where they don't encourage you to be at war with someone all the dang time.

lock and load mentioned anywhere?
Martok, Warlock is very Civ like and led me to buy Civ V, my first foray into the series in 15 years!
Martok, not that it will persuade you if you like diplomacy, but the story behind WARLOCK is that all of the wizards have been tasked with taking over the world and destroying the other wizards. With that I'm mind, the lack of diplomacy fits into the game for me. I am either fighting you or you are extorting me until we do fight. It's not really a simulation of running a civ....its a strategic fantasy war sim.

Why yes....... ;)
You wouldn't have been visiting any tractor factories lately, now would you?

Were you wearing the GH t-shirt? I've heard it adds +1 to each attack...

Sadly no.....
I
hear Heroes of Stalingrad is due out around christmas... at least according to a recent FB post by Mark Walker. 8)
Well I ended up playing a couple of quick scenarios of Conflict of Heroes and messing around with some of the smaller scenarios in WIA.

Actually I've heard that, too, from Mark. But there's more. Slitherine has the code in hand and it is being massaged through the publication process. The odds are quite good that it will be under the tree in time.

Thanks for the input, guys. It certainly does look & sound like a fun/awesome game, and of course the (generally favorable) comparisons to
Civilization doesn't hurt its appeal any.
...And yet I hesitate.
I'm not sure why the simplistic diplomacy in
Warlock bothers me so; it's certainly not that I have any aversion to a fantasy wargame. Perhaps (ironically) *because* it resembles Civ so much, and that I therefore (subconsciously) expect it to have a fully fleshed-out diplomacy model as well?
I wonder if that's what my hangup is. Perhaps if Warlock looked more like a traditional wargame and less like a Civilization title, I wouldn't unconsciously/automatically have certain expectations of it...such as (relatively) complex diplomacy. I dunno. :-\
This weekend, it's mostly gemini wars (mission 12 is real hard) and madagascar with my boy. Of course armada 2526 supernova pbem. :D

i thought i was going to have to send the boys round to pummel this from you!
Sounds good, i held back on CoH because this was in the pipeline and just seems to look more like the kind of game id enjoy

Look at it more like a beefed-up Fantasy General.
Played Act 1 of Diablo 3 starting hard difficulty with my Witch Hunter.
I said this to Bison while in game in Diablo 3 yesterday...the game really starts to feel like a supernatural war after the first chapter. I am a Level 23 demon killing badass.
Are you both playing Witch Hunters mainly?
I gotta admit, they are pretty fun what with all the jumping around and PEW PEW! But I've been mostly playing the Wizard so I can be ranged yet still be able to take direct hits a little with the defensive spells.

I'm training up on MMP's Grand Tactical Series.
Where Eagles Dare arrived on Friday So I spent a lot of the week-end
trying to get KG Chill to drive to Veghel (home town of Dr. Venkman). I think I figured out how to use mortars and rearguards profitably since the Glider Regiment of the 101st was trying to stop KG Chill. More detail on this soon in the wargames section.
Also some
Endless Space
I am playing a demon Hunter, yeah. Bison was starting a New campaign as one too I think.
