Since we have had both Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash show up in the forums in the last 24 hours, I thought this would be appropriate for the Friday thread:
For me? BoC work, and finishing up the CMO AAR.
Still obsessed with Shadow Empire.
Still having a blast with Atom RPG and also learning the amazing Old World.
Its a nice sweet spot in my gaming life right now. I go through occasional brief spells where I struggle to find something to engage me but I have the opposite problem right now.
It will take some special games to get me to stop playing Pillars of Eternity II for a while and lo and behold here are V Rising and Old World. Total War: Troy complete what I will be finagling with, along with Imperiums: Greek Wars and Aggressors: Ancient Rome in the further distance.
Great idea for a Friday thread!
Just picked up Old World so I'll be trying to complete most if not all of the tutorials in it before moving onto an actual real game.
I also finally saved up enough credits to buy a Jagdpanther in Heroes & Generals. It's a beast, even unmodded. Now on to the grind to unlock the upgrades I can get for it.
I'll also be playing some Civilization III: Conquests
I am going to be trying out the tutorials for Old World as well, I wonder how long they take to complete? A few people here have said they are very good.

The genius that is Dylan. Great stuff.
My Back Pages is my personal anthem but this is a great choice too. :bd:
Thank you Sir.
Finally took my first dip into Total War: Troy, playing as Ajax <:-)

I have this one on my watchlist. Looks good.
Watching the PGA championship so no gaming for me this weekend. Will probably pick up Old World on Monday.

Heavily influenced by a forum I picked it up today ;).
Starting tutorials now.
I caved and bough it for my birthday today rather than wait until tomorrow. ;D
^All receipts can be sent to JH :nerd:
I really love the 'ambitions' in Old World. They are pretty much just renamed 'goals' or 'victory points' but having them called 'ambitions' or 'legacies' makes them seem...weightier/more important? I dunno...but I like'em.

Old World is really a good game. So glad I passed on Humankind and waited for Old World.
I never did buy Humankind - only because I am not a fanatical Civ player and always loved the more focused campaigns in specific areas and eras...like Old World!

I hear you bro.
Although I was once a fanatical Civ player what turned me off with Humankind is the fact that everytime you enter a new era, you have to change the nation you're playing as.
This weekend was almost exclusively V Rising. It is the first game in a long while to pull me away from DCS.
^Holy crap...they should put that quote on the V Rising game box.
W8 I feel like Old World addresses the age old things I never liked about Civ that some people really like - like quick progression through eras, cavemen with ICBMs, and other oddities.
To each his own but Old World is like a gift from the gaming gods 20 years in the making.
^Oh yeah I agree with you Gus.
Like I said I was a fanatical Civ'er but now a days I'm beginning to appreciate a more focused setting like Old World and the Total War series.
I feel a horde of Old World MP gaming coming on with a crew here, if the game will support it.
