I just upgraded my getting long in the tooth i9-9900k at 5 Ghz with 3080Ti system from 16 to 32 GB of RAM so I was looking at MSFS 2020 as the virtual airline that I belong to and fly using FSX is upgrading its fleet to MSFS planes, but I think I'll hold off until the 2024 version is released. It does look very good!

FWIW...2020 will continue to be supported after 2024 is released. I've been investing more time and energy (and money) into 2020 lately and I don't regret it at all!
Most or all purchases will carry over from 20 to 24.
Yes, I read that addons for 2020 will work in 2024, but I don't know if I want to buy 2020 now only to buy again 2024 in 5 months.
I'd wait for 2024 if you don't have 2020 already. 2024 sounds better and better the more the devs talk about it. I guess 2020 has 5 million users, so with that market behind them, it looks like they are going to set the bar with 2024.
737 max will be included and a A330. The list of content and improvements make 2024 pretty compelling for day one purchase.
Glad this is part of game pass so I can try it, not sure if something I'll like but certainly will try since included.
