Title: Origin
Post by: Bison on September 04, 2012, 07:32:27 PM
Seriously Origin is hands down the worst f'n client outthere.  I've spent the last 15 minutes attempting to play BF3.  I've downloaded the damn client manager.  Everytime I hit play...I get the damned webpage which of course tells me to download the client manager....then it tells me to install the game.  Of course the game is installed and i just played it this morning.

Who the hell thought that forcing your client to open a webpage to play the game but first it opens your client again was a good idea needs to be slapped upside the head.  Morons.  EA you suck!  /rant off/

Apparently they dorked up a patch disabling their own freaking client.  That makes it even worse.  EA blows.

Pretty awesome, bud!  I need, want, wet dream, or something a Bose home theater speaker system as a result of my day.

I vote GameFly as the worst.   One year on and I'm still waiting for them to re-enable three of the titles I bought from D2D before the GameFly buyout.

I also hate the fact they tell me to update my video drivers.  I don't want to update my video drivers.  My video drivers work great.  What doesn't work EA is your freaking client and game!  Why don't you worry about that update asshats?

Here's to hoping you get what you want :-)

Oh, and EA goes belly up, too ;-)

Metro 2033 is a really good game (what I've played of it).  The book is also very good.

Why don't you try to update your video drivers?

Because Gus.  My drivers are stable in every game I play.  The issue was on their client end.  I got it to work by revalidating all my files.

The worst thing about Origin is that it is owned by EA.

There is a reason EA was voted the worst company in the country.

Haven't really had any Origin issues, but I also haven't really run anything using it for a bit. Of course, that means I'm probably about 6 BF3 updates behind...

I've managed to avoid Origin thus far, and I'm quite happy about that. :)

I hate it when they resurrect an old brand that had a great rep and drag it thru the mud !

DRM schemes wouldn't be quite so bad if it wasn't for them all being buggy as bat sheeot.   :P
