Title: Wouldn't it be FRIDAY?
Post by: Tripoli on June 12, 2025, 03:59:44 PM

A charming little song from a simpler time.  RIP Brian.
As far as gaming.  I'm trying to find time to write up my AAR on the Scourge of War: Gettysburg McPherson's Ridge scenario.  Maybe some Silent Hunter IV.  Have a good weekend, y'all

Era One demo - really enjoying this demo. So far my thoughts are that this should have been what homeworld3 was. The camera so far had worked flawlessly for me. Combat is nice and slow and there are enough new features to keep me interested. Things all seem to work as I expect they should and even the keys are the same as homeworld.

Coh3

Warthunder ships will likely get s look in.

Naval Action probably. They are doing surveys at the moment as the population is crashing again.

Tough weekend for me. Today is my birthday, but the 16th is the anniversary of my brother's death. Probably listen to some Beach Boys and reflect on space, time and the meaning of life.

As far as gaming, not sure. Sort of in a rut. Maybe some Panzer Campaigns? Campaign Series:
Vietnam? CMO? DCS?

A happy Father's Day to all my dad bros.

No gaming here, on a conference. But I passed my citizenship test, so that was a win.

Happy Birthday, Jarhead.  FWIW (and I know you know this, but I'm saying it anyway) you are a lucky man, who is making a difference in the world.  You have a good family, a meaningful job, and you are trying to make a small difference in the world.  Those are some great blessings. When you do your reflection, be sure to put those facts in the equation.  Happy Birthday, and Happy Father's Day.

Happy birthday JH.  Sorry for your loss but remember your brother in your heart and he'll always be with you.

I'm in a bit of a gaming rut.  Nothing seems to draw my interest.  The only two games that capture some of my attention these days are Space Empires IV and Hex of Steel.  Even then I can only take so much and get bored after a short while.

Maybe try some MP games with other people? I too get bored playing SP AI games after a while...
