Has anybody read this sci-fi book? It's written by Chinese author Liu Cixin. It is the first book in a trilogy that spans the past, present, and far future. Humanity encounters an alien civilization from a system approximately 4 light-years away that has three Sun-like stars orbiting one another, a representative example of the three-body problem in orbital mechanics.
I haven't started it yet, but I've actually read and listened to a lot about it and it is pretty mind-blowing in concept, scope and scale.
I'm really looking forward to starting it.

Didn't know it was a book
It's on Netflix over here - gave up after about 4 episodes - I may try again
Haven't read the books but I'm enjoying the netflix series. Two episodes to go in the first season. I know a second season (for second book?) is in the works.
I bought the Ten Cent (Chinese produced) series of the first book, after watching the first few eps for free on Youtube, and then doing research. I gather that the Netflix version rather botches some things. The trilogy, its epilogue book, and its prequel book, are on my Amazon list to buy and read someday.
Very much a modern Chinese version of scientific cosmic horror!
