Had another look at strategos. It's coming along in leaps and bounds. The addition of dust the men kick up adds a real sense of movement to those units moving.

Like a lot of recent converts from the Civ games I too have fallen in love with Old World...playing an epic massive game on three continents with the bigger maps mods...

You can get sudden food delivery problems when you upgrade your units to something that uses a lot more ammo. Check that amount of ammo needed by your new units compared to your old ones (only upgrade one unit and check their unit supply) and if it's two or three times as much as your old unit, logistics get bogged down sending ammo to everyone and units only get part of their food delivery.
