I'm glad the shooting is being investigated by an independent investigations office (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/story/2012/09/11/bc-prince-george-police-shooting.html). That vet should not have died.

It's a great tragedy and seemingly one that could have been avoided.
