I am all for a civilized view on religion. The islam has a great history and the book is probably no better and no worse than any other book.
but the loudest voices of this religion are currently rising my blood pressure everytime i hear them.
Yesterday there was a gathering of muslims in front of our 'White House'. some of these speakers are converted swiss christians. looking at them
and listening to them really makes me sick. it is with something close to hatred and without any understanding at all that i watch them talk about
their values of intolerance, neglect of freedom and neglect of an individuals own right to chose its own way.
what are those jerks talking about? every year our tv will show programs liek Life of Brian, Temptation of Christ and not a single person is harmed,
nor a single house is burned. i almost wished to attent the meeting and to punch them in their face.
In France a satire magazine has chosen to publish further comics about Mohammed and they have all my sympathy for doing it now. It is really time
to stand up for our values in face of these idiots.

why does the irony of even being allowed to stand in front a government building waving placards and protesting about that government or the way in which theyve been treated never occur to them?
I wish for someone less apathetic than me to take them by the hand fly to their country with them and stand outside their mosque/government building and shout about christian rights in that country, and just as the sword is about to behead them, they look up and say - see how GODDAMMED privileged you are to come to my country and have freedom of speech and the rights that you are granted - stop your whining, and if you dont like it, go, just go back home.
If it was so spritual and cleansing to live in your own country, worshipping whoever it is you worship, why is my country the first one you fly to for protection from your own government when youve said something you shouldnt? and then stand in Hyde Park burning MY flag chanting about how you're oppressed! Here's your First Class ticket back to your home? Dont want it? Dont want to go back?
Then sit the fk down, put the flag out and get on board with my community instead of trying to create your own little piece of Islamistan in the middle of a Victorian terraced street

Here's to the hope that after the arab spring and the installment of real islamic governments, those muslims that cannot identify with their new homes will go back.

we recently had a satiric-photoshop in a magazin ....mokery about Vatileak.... its not tastefull but no need to call for beheading the editor in chief... (Pope tried to stop it with leagal means, but it backfired and got more attention then if it had been ignored by th Holy See)

Some people in this world do not love their fellow human-beings, and I hate people like that!!
I'm not sure what to do about the protesters. So long as they're complaining about the offensive images, and not calling for violent retribution against the authors, I'll respect their religious beliefs. Once they start calling for violent actions based strictly on distasteful expressions of free speech, my sympathy goes out the window here.
The real problem here is hatred based on nothing but labels and single-dimensional portrayals of a problem. The real enemy is folks who buy into that and propagate that. I'm just not sure what to do about them.
In Switzerland they actually asked to protest in front of the US embassy. this was denied to them, so they protested in front of the Bundeshaus.
Even though they are using their rights to protest and protest in a legal manner i have still problems with them knowing that they wouldn't grant me such
rights if the country was run by their ideas.
living some years next door to a swiss woman turned wahabite i really lost any kind of respect for extreme forms of islamic believe. in the same house
lived also a bosnian muslim family: i have absolutely no problem with their form of believe and conduct of life. but wahabites? i would rather shoot myself
than life that way.
