I have Monday and Tuesday off, too, and I will be spending most of the upcoming four days with my S. O. In between that and the Halloween party tomorrow night, I will get in some CKII and Civ IV.

Try to finish the Elven Legacy campaigns as spiritual preparation for Fallen Enchantress. Allow other people to take the FE hits first so the bugs can be ironed out. :P
What I will actually do: watch Elementary from last night; watch Son of Frankenstein, maybe also Wolf Man and Ghost of Frankenstein with my parents (who have never gone through the FrankenWolf Universal story arc, or really have ever seen those movies). Manage the real-life peons Saturday morning; go to niece's birthday party Saturday afternoon. Work on my side of a three-way online debate Sunday. Wasn't I playing something on the PS3 somewhere...? Wonder where my weekend went Monday morning.
Fallen Enchantress - played a couple of hours of it so far and having a lot of fun with it.
SC WW1 Breakthrough France's Struggle campaign - the troops didn't get home before the leaves fall as their generals had predicted, the new year of 1915 beckons and the Hun are threatening to breakthrough in the North.
some OOTP13, will be trying Hawken(downloading beta client now), just patched AJE so maybe fire that back up or start a new game of vanilla CKII.

X-Com: Going to play my current campaign and do a little bit of modding.
Crusader Kings 2: Not sure what I'm going to do now that I'm the King of Italy. I'll have to deal with the usual succession issues when my king dies, but I should be able to hold it together. I can either push south and start cutting into the Kingdom of Sicily's territory, or I can turn my eye north or west to either Burgundy or the lands of the HRE himself. I changed my mind on trying to succeed from the HRE, at least at the moment. Instead I'm going to try and build up my popularity within the empire and challenge the emperors family for the throne. I also may start a new campaign and do an AAR as one of the English Dukes, or maybe a count since I haven't played one yet. I want something that is outside of the HRE and not within is sphere of influence. Or maybe I'll play as one of the Muslim factions.
Skyrim: I keep telling myself I need to finish the main quest, now I just need to do it.
Fallout 3: Got it during the Steam summer sale and haven't even started it up yet. Was talking with one of my coworkers the other day and he highly recommended I play it.
Fallen Enchantress: I may fire it up if I can get the beta uninstalled.

Apparently it's a reboot. Not really Disciples 4 in my opinion. Strangely, after a quick look I can't find a website for it.

Yeah, that's what I've been able to discern from sniffing around a few websites. As with D3 (until the website appeared) there's been hardly any info posted anywhere. Anyway, this reboot is called Disciples: Reincarnation.
I am intrigued. I wanted to get D3 because I loved the new look of it but the reviews of the gameplay were poor.
still no hawken yet. company advertises a closed beta and hands out thousands of keys but doesnt have the server capacity to get people playing. had same problems in alpha. dont understand what goes through these devs heads when they do stuff like this.

My first order of business before playing games was to install Windows 8......I was scared to death I would break my existing games. But so far so good without any issues. However, getting use to this new user interface is a game in itself:) Not sure why some things work the way they do, but I'll get use to it.
Now as for games this weekend....Sleeping Dogs mostly, with some Xcom I hope.
Grim, I'd like to hear your thoughts on win8 and whether its worth the price to upgrade after you've had a week or two to play around with it.
XCom, gotta get back in to Borderlands 2, maybe some Left 4 Dead 2 or Team Fortress 2 (if that damn thing finishes installing anytime this year).
XCOM and FTL...at least for as long as Hurricane Sandy lets our power stay up. Chris Robert's Star Citizen has really got me re-interested in his games, so I may also pick up Wing Commander 3 and/or 4 from GOG and/or fire up my copy of Freelancer...

I am a little perplexed on the interface right now so will be a bit before I can get adjusted. One thing I don't understand about it is when you put a game/app as a tile on the start screen, when you select it, it takes you back to a version of the environment that resembles the typical desktop and then launches the game/app....no idea why it doesn't just launch it from there. One of the reasons I upgraded is I was having some issues with my Windows 7 install that would have required a reinstall...so I thought might as well take the plunge.
Something you will have to be careful with is if any games you own have the licensing scheme were it will cost you an activation for an environment change.

I would think they would convince a lot more people to go out and get a new version every 3-4 years if it wasn't $200.

When it first came out it was reportedly crap, but I didn't get it until after the patch cycle was complete. In my opinion it plays just fine. The only problem I have with it is that it's rock hard! At a fairly early point in the Empire campaign, I came up against a boss and had to throw everything I had at him - used up pretty much all my runes and everything - just to win. IRT Disciples 4: I'm fuzzy about whether it's a remake or not. D3 was a prequel to some extent, wasn't it? (Never got around to playing it. Heck, I don't think I ever beat any of the factions on D2, much less the expansions...)
Promotional material hints that it may be a reboot ("A true rebirth of the legendary series"), written by the most popular of the tie-in novelists. Plot details seem sketchy.

I just realized that GG's internal code for it (which may be visible in the link above) classifies it as a D3 game; obviously the Re+ name also fits the other two D3 games. (Incidentally, I also just realized that even if I buy it through GG I'll have to run it through Steam! :P )

...okay, Wiki's page for the D3 series says that D:Reincarnation is in effect D3 Gold "completely overhauled" "featuring balanced AI, naval traveling and fighting, etc." Presumably the real overhaul involved recreating D3 in a new and less buggy engine.

I got a Remington R-15 in .204 Ruger. I'm going to mount a Leupold VX2 scope on it. Just have to swing by the store and get the right sized rings for it. Unfortunately, I screwed up when I ordered this rifle. You can get it with an 18" or a 22" barrel but the online order form didn't give an option to select which one you want and I didn't think to state specifically in the order comments that I wanted the 22" so they sent me the 18". In Canada, centre fire rifles with a barrel length of less than 18.5" are classified as restricted weapons, the same as pistols. That means I can only take it to a licenced range, not just out in the woods. I also have to take extra precautions for storage. Gun safe, trigger lock, and ammo locked up and stored separately from the rifle. I also have to get an authorization to transport from the RCMP in order to be able to take it to the range or a gunsmith's and I'm limited to 5 round magazines.

Because I'm an idiot and when they sent me an email asking permission to submit the paperwork to the Chief Firearms Officer, I stupidly clicked yes, having forgotten that the government recently scrapped the long gun registration requirements. Had I been thinking, I would have then realized that they were sending me the 18" carbine. Once I gave assent, the rifle became mine. The amount of pain and paperwork to transfer it back is ridiculous.
I'm already a member of a few ranges and I bought the thing specifically for plinking targets so it's not a huge burden. I'll just make a pistols and rifle day out of it.
Something tells me they probably didn't try very hard to dissuade you from buying the restricted length version. They probably don't have any trouble selling the other one. This one, probably not the biggest seller of the two. :D

Yup. It's irritating, but it's the law of the land here, I'm afraid. The news gins up fear about guns in the aftermath of some isolated incident. Hyperventilating members of the public react instinctively, blame guns instead of looking at the root causes, and demand the police and lawmakers do something. Reactionary politicians then take the lazy approach and enact pointless and arbitrary legislation so they can say, Look, see what I did? Don't you feel safe now? Vote for me, next election.

Nope...but it looks like it has a really high muzzle velocity which definitely means it should be very accurate. Please don't tempt me...the last thing I need is ANOTHER caliber in my collection.
Well, last night I played Left 4 Dead 2 almost exclusively.
Today, I just bought Chivalry, so I'll be playing some of that tonight after it installs. Also, I'm strongly considering making a serious attempt to learn Mount and Blade: Warband. I've started it a few times, and I have a few mods also, but I never really have been drawn in by it (except cRPG, which doesn't count). I'd like to really get immersed in the single player campaign and figure the game out, what makes it so popular.
WRT Chivalry, interestingly I had WotR sitting in my cart already when I added Chivalry. WotR came out and Chivalry stayed. I hope I like it...it was tough choosing between the two of them. Although, I'm sure I'll pick up WotR at some point, too.
Hmmm...I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on WotR because Gussy and LB have it. Maybe we can beat each other with swords and maces.
If y'all decide to do that, give me a heads up. I'll plunk down the cake and get in on some of that MP goodness :-)
Chivalry is installed, and dammit, I just bought Dark Souls. It is shaping up to be one hell of a gaming day today.

Well, I am having HUGE buyer's remorse with Chivalry. I couldn't even get through the training scenario without getting horribly motion sick. What a total bummer.
I don't know why it is that some games I'm just fine with (Skyrim, L4D2) but then others like Chivalry just make me want to barf within minutes.
I'm going to try again later...my head finally stopped hurting after like 15 minutes...but I wish I had just bought WotR. I may just buy it anyway. I don't usually go on such full-price buying orgies like this, but I really wanted to get some medieval hack-and-slash action today.

Ok, I bought and am installing WotR. That's going to eat up my gaming budget until Christmas I think.
Finished off Borderlands 2 for the first time. So GOOD. I think I'll begin replaying it again, with the new mode that opens up for a 2nd play through. Supposed to be more difficult, and with a whole bunch of new types of baddies and the like.
Tried out a few games that have been installed for awhile as I attempt to trim down the number of games to play before the Christmas game sale season is upon us. Cleared a few dogs away and faced reality and uninstalled some of the games that I'm honestly never going to get to.
Started up Torchlight 2. Really liking it so far. Holy crap, a variety of environments?! That alone is a giant improvement over the original.
And got in some Team Fortress 2. Valve has outdone themselves with their Halloween special stuff, as usual.
Ok so I said I was going to play a bunch of games but so far all I've been doing is XCOM.
Yup... Spent hours arguing with IG2, so downloaded the cmfi patch and went there instead.... Tigers are as bad as I thought - many burning shermans of mine will testify to that!
And naval war... Something to fill the gap til command, which my waters tells me is looming
I actually haven't played anything this weekend.
Spent most of yesterday fighting with nexus to get Fallout 3 and Skyrim mods downloaded/updated, and kept getting errors. Fallout 3 nexus seems to be working today so I hope to start playing sometime this afternoon.
So far this morning (which is when my "weekend" began), I've been playing Distant Worlds: Legends. Unusually for me, I'm actually playing as the Humans for once; I named my nation the Foundation and renamed my homeworld as Terminus. 8)
This weekend I've been playing WINSPWW2, WINSPMBT, SH4, Mount and Blade: Warband Native Expansion mod, and a bit of Left 4 dead 2 too (looking forward to playing with some of you guys ;D)
Ended up playing a lot of FTL yesterday.. Today.. started off with FTL.. played some Xcom while watching the football game.. finished up with a few turns of my Napoleon Total War campaign..
Very little Civ IV MP but TONS of CKII! Finally, on the fifth try, I united Ireland under my rule. It is 1170 and I am on Crusade for Jerusalem. My character is getting a little long in the tooth, but he is the grandson of my original character, so three guys since 1066 I think is pretty good.
