For those of you that don't have Dead Island. Buy it, damn you! It's $9.95, today only. It's kind of like L4D2 but it's a long form, story driven co-op RPG. The gameplay's got some issues, but overall it's a lot of fun and it's got a great melee system. (Get a hammer and break both of a zombie's shoulder joints and then sit back and laugh as it impotently does the noodle arm flail at you.)

How does it play single-player (i.e., without co-op)?
My thoughts on it.

Looks like Steam is having a sale as well...

p.s. skip the Plants vs Zombies. You can get it free here (http://www.stopzombiemouth.com/) starting tomorrow...
The Tripwire Interactive package on Steam is a good deal. Red Orchestra 1 & 2, Killing Floor w/ DLC, The Ball, and Dwarfs? all for $14.99.

I bought Dead Island on a previous sale, on recommendation, but just couldn't get into it.
I saw some potential but I don't think it could be realized for me unless I spent a lot of time digging around for mods to customize it to my liking and, frankly, the vanilla version didn't hook me enough to spend the time to do it. Mod Soup Syndrome isn't on my list for it.
