Im sure the majority here are too full of turkey and potatoes to type. For those of us who can lift a non gravy laden hand, what ye be playing this weekend?
Im blasting from the past:-
Got Sim City 4 for £2 on Steam
Original War
and Anno 1404
and Civ 4 BTS
loving the god games right now
Commander - The Great War
Imperialism II
SotS II
Fallen Enchantress loving it, WofT's, maybe some Warlock as well.
Can't afford CTGW at the mo, xmas robbing all my funds.
Warlock with some of the fellas here tonight. Any and all are welcome. It's my understanding that the MP supports only four at a time. So, anyone that wants in, please show up. Details are in the Grogheads Steam group. There will also be some Civ IV BTS MP and maybe some CKII.
Well...it's mostly a rugby/Grand Prix weekend for me.
if I'm not watching either of those it'll likely be getting on with my P-40 model or my Hornet Leader AAR.
BUT.....should I get time to game, it'll probably be something light - maybe Dead Island or Max Payne or Sleeping Dogs - all of which I bought from Steam (and to think if Matrix had taken 33% off DC:Case Blue I'd have put my money there! How many times do we tell them...?!)
If you want to try some Dead Island Co Op this weekend Judge, I may be up for it!
You are Eastern aren't you?
5 hours difference - so what time would you be able to hook up? It's either going to be early in the morning for you or late at night for me! ;)
SOTS2
CK2
Skyrim
Diablo 3
X-Com
Being probably the only person not playing Commander the Great War, I'm finally at the final battle of the CMBN- Road to Monteborg campaign. It's been a very long haul, but a great campaign. I hope I don't let the guys down with a stupid move, we've come so far together. Otherwise Third Age TW and X-mas tree putting-up. The last one's an un-winnable game without alcohol.
I have the new commander but no space on my HD...have to study this if i manage without removing another game. If i do, i'll be playing that one too. Otherwise, i plan to play:
Homeworld....bloody difficult...cannot pass the level 6, i think i have to start the campaign from scratch. I am not very good with rts games but i love them.
Lost Empire: immortals...just to relax.
Cheers

If I get out of work at 4, home around 430. If the wife is out visiting her mom, I may be able to hop on!
I'm up for some Dead Island if you guys are playing.

No Commander GW for me either. I'm back at Fall of the Samuri. I just fought a big custom naval battle for training purposes and in replaying parts of it in slow
motion I found that I misjudged (basically completely swapped) the one magazine explosion (I thought it was a torpedo hit) and the one Torpedo hit (I thought it was a magazine explosion). Tricky.
Oooh, I dunno!
Last night, on a whim, I fired up Sins of a Solar Empire so I will undoubtedly be finishing that off. Then I will surely be playing Crusader Kings 2 and possibly a bit of Guild Wars 2. Not sure what else yet.

Guild Wars 2.
just when he thought he was out, they pull him back in

If I can stay awake long enough, I'll be looking to see if any spare slots going in Warlock - You're right BTW, 4 max for MP.
You should be alright, bob. I expect Gus to be late. Something about, well, some excuse or another ;-)
I think he said something about raising an undead army - 'spect he'll be out looking for recruits.
I am torn between Warlock and Space Marine for MP tonight. I love both. In Warlock I can raise an army of undead vampires and well Space Marine is just kick ass. I hope to play both.
Just put another hour into Commander: The Great War. Slowly learning how to economize, upgrade and repair. And Italy just entered the war. As I am playing as the Entente that's good news. Maybe.
This is the first time ever that I have been torn between what game to play MP...I never used to like MP, ever. Now look what Steam and you lot have done.

It's a bad time really - Saturday I'll be pretty drunk by 9 as rugby is on all day and Sunday - 10 (to play games) is just a bit on the late side for me...maybe 9 on Sunday?
Space Marines might net you some early time. If you're up late enough, you might catch the British contingent waking up.

Nah. 10pm I will start in on Warlock and then hope to catch some Space Marine later on, maybe midnight EST.

I never fully stopped playing, and probably won't for a long time since it's free. But the honeymoon period is definitely over.
I got way more than £30's-worth out of it though!
Commander The Great War and maybe some Imperialism II if I have any time left after yard work and putting up some outdoor Christmas decorations...don't ya just hate those HoneyDo lists?

OK, my wife is on the way home anyways.. so probably won't be gaming till later tonight.. although, i hardly got any sleep last night, so not sure... SDR, maybe we'll try at a later time? What's your Steam nick?
Same nick as here. I've been stuck at Costco all day, waiting for them to fix a tire leak. Hopefully I can get out of here within the next hour. I want to hit the gym before the evening rush but I'm free after that.
Warlock 4 the win!
Hopefully we'll have more than 4 show up and have 2 games going....
BTW do we all need the same version? I bought armageddon so I have the two newest races
We'll find out tonight. Looks like I only have the base game.
I just brought 3 of the Warlock adds in the Steam sale, 50% off, so that only cost me £1.98. A whole weeks pocket money - Blown!!

I sure do steve. I helped put up our tree today plus string the lights on it.
Then I got some Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in. Only 1 more mission until I finish the single player campaign. I also picked up the Raven Strike DLC (XBOX) since it was on sale today and today only. They had the Leviathon DLC for Mass Effect 3 on sale as well. Right now my gaming plans have been turned upside down. I'm still trying to get to History: Legends of War Patton while putting in some time here and there with Commander: The Great War.
I also only have the Warlock base game.

I probably won't make it for the game tonight but let us know if you need the DLC to play multiplayer with the other guys.
I'm going in now. Windi said he would be there, too.

Looks like all the DLC combined will run you a whopping $6.50 right now.
well I think despite all the different versions (DLC) things went swimmingly..... as bob would say, a spell was cast over the game
Magic! Glad it went well guys.
Do you guys play a game to completion? I just got it during the sale yesterday, so no idea how long games take..

solo can take days.... unless you're LB with the Great Mage, Aveeno Schlippy-schlippy
It has been all about Mark of the Ninja. YOU NEED THIS GAME if you don't already own it. Just a blast.

Just bought the game this morning....now downloading......very strange for me, so far this is the only game I have bought during the holiday sales:) Maybe my impulse buying days are over.
I bought World War One Gold from the Matrix Sale (After yacking with Nefaro).. But I did put a lot of Warlock time in (which I grabbed from the Steam Sale).. Kept getting that 'one more turn' urge.. funny I thought the gameplay was kind of simplified Fantasy CIV. no 'workers', no roads etc... But the battles really have me hooked! and thus 'one more turn'!
Going with Torchlight & Skyrim.

Great little title so far, well worth the $7....plays like a game from the past and fun. Glad I took the plunge.

Listen to this man's testimony! You got 24 more hours to follow in his brilliant footsteps, boys! ;D
Yet again, I'm playing the 'Lets download my new purchases' game, which offers very repetitive game play and static, dull graphics. Then again, it's football day so I don't really mind it running in the background.
I picked up Bioshock 2 for 4.99 on Steam today in anticipation of the upcoming Bioshock Infinite.
saw the entire Shogun bundle for £9, just doesnt do it for me anymore
It's been a Warlock weekend for me. A short game of Civ IV as my opponent was being a douche and I bailed.
Being in an Econ-game mode, I took the opportunity to buy the old Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum for Two-Fitty.
I really want a historical grand strategy with lots of economy hustling involved but the offers out there just don't quite cut it. Victoria 2 is.. well.. I think most of us who've tried that out knows already. The only other one on the same level would be PrON but.. the remaining event bugs still make me hesitate, especially since the turn resolution times mean that those bugs are felt much more sharply when such large amounts of time are needed to progress in it. So I'm just back to the plain econ games :-[
I shouldn't complain too much, though, because I do have the aforementioned RT2 and it's obviously a good one despite it's dusty old age. I also have Port Royale 3, and other similar ones such as The Guild 2 Renaissance and the sci-fi action-trader types like Evochron:Mercenary, Black Market, and Space Rangers 2 Reboot to name a few. Although I'm currently looking more for a grand strategy style econ game, as opposed to a big mix like those.
Anyway.. I think Rail Tycoon 2 and Port Royale 3 are today's muses.
Been messing about with L4D2 a bit, but signle player is not that great. It does, however, give you a chance to get familiar with the levels.
On the other hand, Warlock has again been the big one for me, a bit of a new campaign done, but especially the MP games with MD. very entertaining.
Just a thought here, I wonder if the game allows other players to jump into an existing MP game?
