If you were signed up for the "lifelong" 15% discount from Gamersgate/IGN, they have now taken it away....check your account, no longer there. On their forums they posted this notice, which there appears to be some debate if it was ever meant to be forever. I can't really recall myself since has been so long. It always seemed like a deal that was always too good to be true:) I bought my fair share of games using the code so I probably got a lot of mileage with it, but their sales prices aren't as cheap as some other places so might have to do shopping elsewhere, especially since a lot of the newer titles require steam anyway.
**from their forums***
"The IGN Prime discount promotion has expired. We hope you've enjoyed your 15% discount and that you'll stick with us both at GamersGate (for all your games) and at IGN (for all your news).
The IGN Prime 15% discount will be taken down between Friday and Monday, depending on your IGN account status and if you are currently a paying subscriber of IGN Prime. Don't worry though, we've just entered into our yearly holiday sales, so there will be lots of games and awesome deals to be had - and this Holiday Sale is bigger than ever before!"
Too bad. Still, I got 15% off everything for a year and I didn't have to spend anything to get it. Plus, I still get the 5% back in blue coins so I'll stick with GG. Especially since Amazon DD isn't available here.
GG is a great store.. Good sales.. Excellent Customer Service!.. Blue Coins are fun (get to grab on sale DLC with em)!
Well, crap. I really liked that discount and it made the difference between me buying from GG or from Steam. Oh well, I got a lot of use out of it.
