What are my options, to play a game centered around the Crimean War?
I *think* they may have been a scenario or two in Age of Rifles, but it's been so long I'm not sure.
That's actually something you can reach in PON, before you die of old age. :P
There are indeed a couple of scenarios from Age of Rifles. If you absolutley positively MUST have this game, I can probably lend you my copy (or at least dropbox it to you). PM or post here if you wish...
Thanks for the offer, I have the original Age of Rifles CD, and have fiddled with it before to play out the Isandlwana scenario - so I'll check back with Age of Rifles.
It's a real shame there are no modern chit based games based around the Victorian era. I'd even settle for a Tiller game on the subject, despite the dated art and engine - that's how desperate I am! ;)
I suppose there might be something in Advanced Tactics user scenarios as well.
There are a couple of scenarios for TOAW over at Rugged Defense (http://www.the-strategist.net/RD/scenarii/browse_scenario.php) (under Pre World War I), but it looks like they're for the TOAW-COW version. I think they can be converted to TOAWIII (open the scenario in the TOAWIII editor and save before trying to play).
