Roll a one on your boarding attempt.
That was in my NYUK! thread.
Sweet! Jap sub creamed.
Pity it was not taken out by torps.
'Fire tuber 1, Fire tuber 2' :)

I was going to say that after it was over they sat down to a meal of fish and chips.
Certainly gave 'em a good roasting.
Sub Skipper: "Give 'em a broadside!"
Crew: "Eye,eye sir!"

All day? Nah, I'd be fried.
The Japanese took their lumps that day.
I have a feeling the OP's going to be upset that we made a hash of his thread
but we'll keep the puns spuddering along
We really whipped 'em in that battle.
We pommeled them.
It must have been pomme de terrible.
Did they attack in wedge formation?
no waffling about what to do when faced with a threat
During World War I, the british destroyer, HMS Broke, was on patrol in the Dover Straits. During a wild, nightime melee, rammed a german torpedo boat, and was stuck.
German sailors tried to cross over onto Broke's forecastle. The british sailors were actually issued cutlasses, and a fierce combat broke out.
The deciding moment was when some of the british began heaving steaming cups of cocoa at the boarders, breaking their spirits and driving them back.
A clear violation of the Geneva Convention.
You gotta love food fights.
