Title: Stainless Steel Question
Post by: Sir Slash on December 23, 2012, 03:21:32 PM
I've been eyeing this mod for M2TW for some time now and was wondering what's the group consensis? Good, bad or don't care? And will it interfere in any way with my Third Age mod already installed? Thank you in advance for your input.

Not sure about the mod itself, been a long time since I've played M2TW.

As for as conflicts, yes it will probably conflict. Sometime after the release of RTW, CA allowed mods to be installed to where they wouldn't conflict. M2TW from what I recall works the same way. The problem was was that there were files that wouldn't work this way and had to be modified in the main install folder. I would either only install one mod at a time, or do a copy of your whole install folder and do a separate shortcut on your desktop for each one.

I have both Third Age and SS loaded and both work fine...AFAIK they are both mod-foldered. Warning though, the patch for 6.4 broke my SS, so I rolled it back to v6.3.

How is it compared to vanilla, Gus?

^Both mods rock the socks off the original...totally transform almost everything, including AI. Like playing a new game with each mod. Of course both Third Age and SS are cream of the crop. You won't be disappointed :)

Stainless Steel is an excellent mod. If you liked Medieval I you NEED this mod. It adds a lot of depth. Vanilla is a joke.
