Title: M2TW: With Fire and Sword
Post by: Gusington on January 26, 2013, 09:13:37 PM
Toonces will love this, as well as mikeck and bunch of other dudes who love 17th-18th century history, eastern European history and pike & shot. Take a look here and while it is only in (late) beta, not a full release, it looks quite good:

The "Time of Troubles" period is very interesting, although I'm not terribly intimate with all the fine details spanning it.

I'm also not sure if I'll ever get around to bothering with M2TW again before Rome 2 shows up.  And once the latter shows up.. it wouldn't even cross my mind.

Saw that today. Looks very interesting-- maybe a winner. Does anyone know if it conflicts with other mods? I couldn't find anything stating either way.

Let me ask the newbie question:  Can you use the mods with the Steam version of M2TW?

Yeah.  Usually the mods will install in a folder with the kingdoms scenarios...so there will be Teutonic campaign, Britannic campaign and then whatever the other two are. you'll see the folder there and it will have the title of the mod on it Now I can never get kingdoms to load that mod so what I have to do is Rename my Teutonic folder to Teutonic original and then you name the mod folder to Teutonic. Then when I start kingdoms I select the Teutonic scenario from the list and it loads that Mod

Awesome.  I'm going to have to try this out.

And, I very highly recommend the books, which are available for free on Amazon for the Kindle!

Anyone tried to download this? First it took me to some Russian site to meet er 'women,' and then I couldn't access a page that worked at all for downloads...perhaps waiting for a gold release is best :/

Nah...I wouldn't be too concerned about downloading stuff from a Russian website that randomly sends you off to other sites...I'm sure it will be fine

Me too. My apologies. I would wait for a gold release and even then...

Thx Gusington, didn't see this one, slipped thru my radar. I guess my attention has been focused on the dev forum of Europa Barbarorum II for way too long. Meanwhile the Stainless Steel and Rule Brittania mods are my fav choices for M2TW.
