dont get hung up on titles. Cowboy Bebop and Archer are great shows.
I would put effort into liking Archer as I am already inclined to it. I would have to get someone to explain Cowboy BeBop to me in order for me to make a decision on effort.
Bebop is a show about a group of bounty hunters about 2 or 3 hundred years in the future who are beset by murphys law.

My oldest daughter was into Japanimation. I remember a few titles. BeBop was one. Ghost In the Shell was another. The most direct knowledge I have of the genre is Dragonball Z.
GitS is great. dragonball not so much.
I certainly wouldn't hold Dragonball as a representative of the genre, but, I suspect the animation portion of it, at least from what I've seen, is close.

Archer is on Netflix, actually...at least on this side of the pond. Three seasons' worth, and it's not nearly enough. The writing combined with the voiceover talents' pacing is pure comedic genius.

I totally forgot that this had started up again in January. but I did have a fun marathon session last weekend.
They went in a totally different direction this season which on paper looked good but its been a bit "meh"
Last nights episode was great though, ridiculous long car crash down a mountain, classic Archer one liners, man eating crocodiles or

I heard they're going back to the 'secret agent' style of the first four seasons, and not continuing the 'Archer Vice' storyline. I assumed that meant they're going back to ISIS, but I haven't seen it since the last episode of Archer Vice.
My daughter is big into anime now. Her latest passion is Attack on Titan, which I can't quite get into, at least not yet. Me, I enjoyed Ranma 1/2 many years ago, also watched some Trigun a year or so ago, but haven't really gotten into it deeply.

I wondered about that too. She sounded totally different than the previous seasons.
I just caught up on this season. The show is so damned good and totally over the top. Hard to believe it's allowed to air at all.

I certainly haven't seen all, or even most, of the episodes, but, my daughter has been watching seasons 3 & 4 on Netflix. I have certainly changed my mind on this! Archer is the dick I aspire to be!!

It's funny what Netflix plays overseas and what they play over in the States. In the UK there's American shows that aren't played on Neftlix America, which makes no sense to me, but I'm sure it's some wound-up and retarded system of permissions and licenses that are causing the problems.
Ah well...it's not like there aren't other, alternate sites you can go to, to view movies and TV shows that can't be found elsewhere.
