Seriously, I have put in over 12 hours into it and I don't think I am near completion. And I sit and play it for hours at a time, despite all this wonderful PC gaming goodness I want to play. I've always loved the FE series, but this Fire Emblem is really the epitome of the tactical TBS done in the Nintendo style. It doesn't go to totally new places, but the innovations they have put in (such as the Pair Up system) make it so much more interesting.
If you have a 3DS, just buy it.
This topic was sitting there... all alone with one meager post.
I can't let that happen!
I agree fully with you SoM! FE: A is a very nicely done game and keeps you playing and playing.
I play on the mode where if you let your character die in a battle you cannot select him or her any longer. This does result in replaying certain battles because of small errors I make will wipe a character and I really don't want that to happen because its my fault.
On the other side, if I feel I couldn't have done anything to keep the char alive I go on.
It's a nice and exciting way to play the game and really forges a connection with your characters!
I must say that with this game and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, my 3DS takes up a lot of game time for me lately.
Regardless of how it turns out, kudos to Ms. Uhrman for trying to break the mold and free the industry from stagnation.
