Title: King me this Friday
Post by: MetalDog on February 22, 2013, 06:56:01 AM
As a surprise to no one, it'll be Warlock Master of the Arcane MP this weekend.  I have a new posse to play against.  Sorry to disappoint them though.  It's going to be the same result as all my games of Warlock, I rule and they drool :)

In 1371, Robert II became the first Stewart King of Scots.

Finally got the Dragonborn DLC to work. Now I'm going to try and figure out how to get that Nordic pickaxe. It's like two critical bugs back to back.

All kinds of goodies:

SotS: The Pit
March of the Eagles
Crusader Kings 2
(I have two separate games going, and they've both had and interesting first couple decades!   ;D )

I've also been thinking of firing up one of the EU3 Chronicles mods again, like Death & Taxes or MEIOU.

It's odd but in Panzer Grenadier, German tanks fire twice as fast and the PZIV is armored at 5 (versus Shermans at 3).  I guess if you put

What's even odder is that I recall in 2006 when I first played Panzer Grenadier, I thought the Shermans and Churchills did very well.  Maybe I neglected to read the rules about doubling German firepower.

Been playing around with the demo to SC WWI. Great game with lots of strategic possibilities. Not sure why Plaestine and Syria start in 1914 as neutral minors instead of part of the Ottoman Empire and can't really seem to get the hang of the naval warfare part but alot of fun. I wish the demo had a save game feature as I can only get 1 or 2 turns in a sitting. Tomorrow attending a local National Day of Resistance rally to support our 2nd Amendment rights(Plug). Sunday maybe getting bailed-out of jail. ;D

Hoping to get in some MP Roffing.  The Syndicate server is going to be expanded to allow 100 players (fingers crossed) on Saturday evening (GMT) to accommodate  a Central squads v Entente squads battle royale.

Not sure how much I will actually do as I am helping move a friend, but on the plate is:

March of the Eagles :: Started a new Austrian Campaign on high difficulty
CK2 :: Still trying to finish my Poland Campaign
System Shock 2 :: Playing a little here and there
Conquest of Elysium 3  :: A couple of turns

Trying to learn Dominions 3 (have not purchased, just demo) and may pick up SoTS: The Pit after all the talk.  Need to do a mission or two of Falcon 4 BMS.

I'm too short to play center. The Wife however played goalie in college and was allegedly excellent.

That's Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

We're going away this weekend so I won't be playing much. :(

Tonight, though...Either I will be kicking my lady's arse at Android: Netrunner or I'll be on the PC playing Guild Wars 2 and possibly Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP courtesy of the very handsome PanzersEast and Demigod.

I'll be playing:

Skyrim: I've spent my limited gaming time this week doing DB side quests. There was actually a lot more then I originally thought. I got a new player home in Raven Rock out of the quest line I completed last night. Out of all the Bethesda player homes, I think the Raven Rock one is the best. Got a few more ruins that I spotted while I was on my Dragon that I want to explore. After that its back to Skyrim to fight Alduin.

Crusader Kings 2: Continue my Kingdom of Italy and Republic of Venice games.

Distant Worlds: Been thinking of starting a new game for a few weeks. Not sure how long I'll play for. I tend to quit once I get a ton of cash flowing in. Really hope that they fix that "minor" unbalance in Shadows.

Men of War Assault Squad - switched from Easy to Normal mode, the AI in this title is tough.

Fantasy War - New campaign as the humans.

Victoria 2 - Going to try Russia next.

Going to try out Ghost Recon Online and see how it is. Aside from that, maybe this weekend I really will play some more Men of War L Assault Squad. And either Civ V or Warlock is probably going to get some time as well.

might ahve to break down and by Warlock after reading everything about it here.  I just don't know that I need another 4x game and I've always liked space games better anyway but you guys really make it sound fun

I just wish I had reliable access that I could try a multiplayer with someone sometime

I'm definitely going to be playing some War of the Roses.

I was kind of sitting on the fence on which other game to play and seeing Bison's thread I think I'm going to start Amnesia again.

XIII Century should round things out.

I've always slept better in the day, for some reason.  I didn't mind working nights as long as the neighbors weren't having roofing or construction done.  ;D

I worked nights a good portion of my 20s and it must've just became permanent habit at some point.

Same here!

Otherwise, I'm starting a new game of Distant Worlds: Legends.  The latest beta update caused my game to stop working, so I had to revert back to the last official version (and I therefore lost my saved-games).  Grr!

Time allowing, I'd like to play a little more Imperialism II as well.

Well, that didn't happen.  I started playing the board game Elusive Victory.  I got as far as getting set to run an Su-7 on a dawn reconnaissance into the Gulf of Suez in July 1967 and this somehow led me to downloading some flyable Su-7s (the Su-7BMK mid-1960s export version to be exact) in the Third Wire system, whereupon the AI Israelis shot me down with SuperMysteries and other stuff.

Lots of fun, but not what I planned to do this weekend at all.  AND I am still REALLY BAD at FLIGHT sims.

Don't even get me started on my hours of trying to get the Sunburn antiship missile to work when fired from
an Su-27 (or something in the 20s) in an antique version of Lock-on.
